  • Rental-Car Olympics!

  • When my CTS-V was delivered, a disgruntled worker at the dealership broke into it and sprayed D I A R R H E A all over the interior. GOD DAMNIT. :-) FUCK YOU

  • All this is is a dumb video showing white ppl build your car. Trying to make you feel better. Shiiiit, I don't care who makes it or where it's built, I'm going to buy what i want, and I will not be retarted and let where its built, or stick with a shit auto company.

  • @Lambo6fo What?

  • @Lambo6fo Surrealist paintings make more sense than your post.

  • I just picked up my CTS V Wagon last wed. 650 miles so far against the 1500 mile break in. I can't wait to let this beats loose. The ride is perfect, the exhaust note is amazing. The clutch (oh did I mention it is a stick) is supper easy. I have absolutly no complaints so far...except maybe that I couldn't show the guy in the 300SRT8 at the light this morning what this thing could do. Well mr.SRT8 I will see you in about 900 miles and then we will see.

  • I built this car. Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant, Lansing Michigan. All the CTS's are made there. STS's too.

  • Wow... that was THE MOST BORING experience i've ever had with a CTS-V.

  • wow i never knew it took 2 minutes and 27 seconds to build a Cadillac!

  • @muffinmanx99 This is a time lapse.

  • Nice work Gm 2:30 to build a car! Now that it impressive.

  • That is one huge rear third quarter blind spot. Obviously not a car designed for parts of the world where pedestrians and bicyclists are present. Even a lane change would be a faith based decision.

  • @trefod if i were a pedestrian id be scared by its presence

  • @trefod this is 'merica!

  • @trefod have you ever driven a 6 passenger wagon?

  • @jnthnbush Yep, an old Volvo 7 series behind which you might just be able to hide a flag pole if you tried hard enough.

  • @trefod Lolwut. Mirrors retahd.

  • @trefod I believe this car has lane change indicators.

  • @trefod I believe this car has lane change indicators. Lets you know if you're about to hit something.

  • @mechmusician I would still prefer personal visual input. That is, being able to look over my right shoulder and actually see what is behind and to my right, before I decide to move into that space.

  • @trefod Then don't buy a wagon. Any wagon. They all suck for that. Even if it's just all glass and no pillars, you have a huge ass that is liable to hit something when you merge. I know you love wagons in Europe. Nobody knows why. But remember, this is an American company. We don't drive wagons here. The CTS is a sports car. It's meant for your right foot before anything. If you want a people carrier, get an SRX. SRX was actually designed by Saab, if you like the Swedish engineering.

  • @mechmusician I own a wagon, they are practical. Anyways Cadillac is betting hard on the chinese market and with that in mind outward visibility could become very important for sales. But this is becoming a bit trite, my point was just that the film clip made it obvious that you can't see shit out the back of the car.

  • @trefod They have cameras in the rear chimsels that make viewing excellent. No blind spots nor faith based decisions here.

  • @trefod It's actually not as bad as it looks. When I first drove the wagon, I saw that tiny rear window and got concerned. However, city driving is not that bad. Those extra slivers of windows behind the passenger doors are where you're mainly looking. Lane changes are problem free.

Backing up is another story, though. Thank goodness for standard cameras. I still wish they made larger windows!

  • @trefod ever drive a pick up or adjust your mirrors properly?

  • @BigEd2006 Yup... Ever drive in a city where two thirds of all roadgoing traffic are bycicles?

  • @trefod diamond lane! However i get your point, but then you probably more suited for an economy car anyway and wagon would be a little big for that kind of city lifestyle. So I guess it isn't designed for stop and go traffic in the middle of a metro area, but the second vehicle for a family that doesn't want an SUV to scoot the hockey gear to practice....and refuses to buy a minivan. This is bought like that Grill you see an ad for at Walmart and then see the dual tanked full range model.

  • LOVE CAR AND DRIVER!!

MoterTrend can go to hell!! they blocked me cuz i said they should get off fords dick and do non biased reviews!!

  • @thugangel662 Yeah, I think motortrend is sometimes biased.

  • @SuperHimLove I feel like C&D can be too. But hey, I take everything with a grain of salt anyways. :)

  • @SuperHimLove Well most recent GM concepts are tested by MT b4 GM decides to put them on the market (G.M.'s way of quality control I guess) So it stands to reason the MT would like most if not all of their cars.

  • @SuperHimLove using the word "sometimes" is an understatement

  • @thugangel662

dont forget about the ford fan boys.

  • Love this. Great article. Love Car and Driver!

  • This whole segment was one of the coolest things I've seen!

It would be awesome to see long-term testers being built more often, or even segments on cars being built around the world...how about a time lapse build of an Audi A8? R8? Talk about potential!

    Keep it up!
