  • That's kind of like the Dimebag warm up only he does trills with each finger instead of 1-2 it's 1-2-1-2 your good you know what I mean.

  • whats wrong with "spider fingers?" =P

  • Excellent video my friend, keep up the great work.

  • thank you! Spider fingers just make playing a bit more difficult lol

  • how may hours per day you play

  • I try to get at least 2 hours per day. During summer I go for a lot more

  • i have a question. in the first part of the warm up you were talking about extending the fingers. I have extremely...well not extremely but i have small hands...my fingers cant stretch btwn the 11 and 16th fret....it doesnt work...should i try mayb stretching my fingers more before playing or should i just drop a fret?

  • Sorry for the rather late response, if you're starting the exercise it will take some time to build up to. Do the stretches on higher frets first, then work your way down. You can even start the stretches on higher frets for an easier reach. If you have small hands, just go down as far as you need to warm up (especially with the last stretch)

  • nice exercize. I'll try☆

  • thanks, it should help

  • I use bladecatcher by mastodon as a warm up, just the lead part, it is a very fun song to play as well

  • I'll try you picking warm up ... it looks useful !

  • It's a good warmup riff because it mixes notes a little bit. Hope it works for you!

  • Very nice! I'll definitely be using these warm-ups! I've never actually used warm-ups, so when I start playing, it generally takes me a while before I get into a good groove.

Also, when you hit the last note of each exercise, you look out to the left with an expression of, "I really want to be doing something else". lol

  • Sounds good, they should help! haha, you'll notice that the video cuts a lot, I break it down because I don't have the skills to deliver it in all in one fluent take

  • man. 6:45. i wanna see you cover bleed by meshuggah PLEASE DO IT you would probably be the best

  • I haven't listened to a lot of meshuggah but I hear theyre really good. I listened to bleed, it's got a lot of gallop pick lol. Don't they use 8 string guitars though?

  • yeah atleast one guitar is 8 stringed im positive of that :)

  • these warm-ups are really helpful, thanks a lot dude
