  • The Smithereens were an extraordinary band at the time they came out. I think I have every one of their CD's from that era except the "Best of" album . . . simply because, if you wanted the"Best of the Smithereens" you needed to have every one of their CD's . . . and, I DO!

  • Gotta love The Smithereens. I especially love how they have such a powerful bass. At times, it's almost like the bass has the solo and the guitar is just backup.

  • @serventofthegoatmen7 The Smithereens seem to have come out of nowhere back in the late '80's. But, I'm so glad they did. Pat DiNizio was, and continues to be an extraordinary songwriter with his band. And . . . it seems he's still at it. I think I have every CD they put out back then.

  • Great song....great album! These guys and REM got me through the techno 80s!

  • can someone upload afternoon tea?

  • Great song - the Green Thoughts albums was one of the very best of the late 80's - wish I still had mine!

  • @clinkgirl2009 I can't seem to find mine either....I lost some good CD's to inconsiderate roommates in college though...

  • @stevepwood I think I was stupid enough to lend it to my boyfriend after I'd only had the tape a few months! Needless to say, I never got it back. I guess that means he liked it.
