  • FULL FRAME NOT ' FULL CROP ' JUST XD ! :)))

  • uh uh, cheap uv filter is not good. i got unbelievable flare till i upgraded

  • Dont you think that ur camera, is considered as a toy?

  • That lens produces some great bokeh! I'm going to buy one of these for my 600d soon.

  • any idea what you settings were for the picture of the kid in the hoodie?

  • never leave you camera facing up with the lens off!!!!!!!!

your gonna get dust on the sensor!!!!!!!!!

  • I don't know why YouTube thinks a slow motion booty slap is a related video, but I approve!

  • Put the hood on if you need to protect the glass, you said you have a "cheap" filter on. Remember you are looking through the "cheap" uv filter, why compromise the quality of your lens ! if you must protect the glass buy the best filter you can......

  • Hi, thanks for the video. What lens would you recommend for blurred background effects, like the 1.8, but not a fixed focal length? I hate that on my 50 mm I can't zoom out. Thanks!

  • The vignetting is terrible on some of those pics, you need to Clone or spot heal them out, unless you want that look, but you can tell its a flaw from the lens its self and not a styled vignette.

  • @Dannysubliminal Also just to add the Vignetting could also be caused from the filter, I have that problem often around 50mm.

  • @Dannysubliminal its added.

  • @shootthephoneco hey there, after using the camera, should i just put the lens cover and leave the lens connected to the body ? or should i remove everything , and put all the lids back and keep it ?

  • Thank uu I must say u've got great photos. I've tried taking photos in manual setting but I can't get the exposure right. Is there any thing u can recommend please?

  • @swpn606 you just gotta play around until you get it right.

  • What's the setting for ur last photo (the canvas shoes) ??

  • @swpn606 don't remember. manual on everything. probably iso @ 400. def 1.8/f.

  • @Udontgetmymetal yeah u can produce good bokeh(defocus) wid this...

    .

  • this is not a prime lens...the 1.2 is

  • @vybeme2 yes it is.... all prime means is that it is a fixed zoom lens.

  • @tjsdaname Prime lens is NOT a fixed zoom, how can it be zoom if its FIXED ? I think you meant to say that its a fixed focal length ! ie : 28mm, 50mm, 85mm etc... hope this answers the previous questions about prime lenses.

  • @vybeme2 1.2,1.4 and the 1.8 are all rpime lenses, prime just means its a fixed focal length... which this is (:

  • what do you mean prime lens?

  • Would this be good for close up shots?

  • @JMCTechReviews Not really. Look for something with macro

  • @shootthephoneco I know it's great for portraits, not saying it isn't saying its hilarious as in "shooting people" bang bang dead XD

  • Great info thanks!!

  • In-n-out burger! I have heard good things about them! Love the video and the lens!

  • have u tried the 18-55mm kitlens from canon? how is the 50mm 1.8 compared?

  • @ManzalaStudio the 50mm is much sharper all around. No IS on the 1.8 though.

  • what lens would you recommend for filming?

  • @ilovethesimpsons8 i dont really know much about video.. But from what i've heard this lens is great for video. Might want to do some research though!

  • @shootthephoneco Its awesome for video I use it alot with my 60 D

  • @ilovethesimpsons8 If you can afford it the 17-55mm f2.8 is, is probably the best lens for all round filming, f2.8 is quite fast and the IS is really useful in low light or if handholding. It's also really sharp ( nearly L quality) but is quite expensive.

  • Does this lens have zoom ?

  • @fshlps nope.

  • Nice picture of Mt. Rose.

  • If money wasn't factored in....would you recommend the 50mm f/1.4 or this model.

  • @ugaplaya44 1.4 probably has the edge.

  • Does it HAVE to crop the image?

  • @YesItsMartin on a crop sensor yeah

  • Impressive images!

  • very informative video.. loved the way you have edited the pictures how do you do it ?? i have been looking around to do something like this but do not know really what it is called or how we do it. the way you have edited your watch

  • @aghajalalkamal i use adobe lightroom

  • Hey...nice video...

    I have a question...Is it good for a canon 1000d? :)

  • i hate when ppl say the lens looks like a toy! it does not look like a dang toy it looks like a light weight lens

  • Is there any chance you can do some direct comparisons between shots on the stock lens and this?

    thanks

  • is it good for video??

  • @monoseb yes

  • dog is just like "Wtf..." 3:24

  • @MrLukasDiSparrow so just dont swap lenses with the camera on its back? alright thanks for the advice

  • hey because its a crop lens and it maginfies the lens to 80mm does that mean the pictures loose quality?

  • @harvey288 No. The optics stay the same quality. Any lens you mount on a crop sensor slr, a Canon Rebel, 50D, 60D etc., will be cropped in 1.6x. Its kind of a hard thing to understand...

  • Hi, there! I was wondering what editing software did you use on those pictures?

    Thanks!

  • @edovis Its all Lightroom 3.3 :)

  • @shootthephoneco WOW! That was fast! XD haha.. thanks!

  • @edovis i know haha. I happen to have my gmail open and a few minutes to answer you
