I agree with people's right to protest but it has to be understood that the police deserve the same respect that the protesters demand. They do a job that puts there lives on the line everyday for the welfare of the city. If they tell you to get on the sidewalk and off the street there's a reason. It's a public safety issue and they are trying to avoid accidents. Protest by all means, but do it right.

I don't know if anyone realized but he had a world trade center ribbon and this "fascist" if you would call it responded and had to sacrifice alot on 9/11. Please stop treating the NYPD as criminals. Police in NYC are REQUIRED to give their badge number when asked. In 2003 the City of New York passed a revision to the Patrol Guide Procedure 203-09 stating:
"Courteously and clearly state your name, rank, shield number and command, or otherwise provide them, to anyone who requests you to do so. Allow the person ample time to note this information."

@Conranify Unfortunately I doubt any of them will lose their jobs, the guy who walked up to those girls in the pen and pepper sprayed them unprovoked lost a few days of vacation that's it. JP Morgan Chase also donated $4.6 to the NYPD so they are no longer civil servants, but corporate servants.
