The behemoth is an elephant or a hippo. When the passage references tail it actually is talking about the animals penis and the next line talks about it's sinews wrapped around it's stones also known as balls.
I noticed you missed "He eats grass like an ox" So god didnt make any TRex? Raptor? How about the "unbehemoth" dinosaurs? There are plenty that are the size of small rodents or chickens? You guys will go to any length to twist the bible to suit you. Hope you dont eat any shellfish!

@brainy1130 I have read it - cover to cover! And i have studied it - it is a book that even the ancients did not take literally. Why are we to take it literally? There is metaphore and myth in it - and the first chapters of genesis are myth. If you need to take the bible literally then dont pick and choose! Its either all or none. Interesting point for evolution here, mammals have differentiated teeth, including sharp teeth that aren't necessarily for meat. But, neither the Hippo, rhino, or the elephant fit the description of having a "Tail like a Cedar," nor the description of being the chief (largest) of the ways of God. What is the Largest animal that God had made ... the brontosaurus. Secondly, prove that your dating methods can be trusted and are 100% accurate. After all, yes we may measure that it takes 100 years to produce 100ft of sedimentary rock in some areas, but unless it is measured every second, you may be wrong due to deposition rates speeding up/ down
@DrSamba1 It is quite possible, as radiometric dating DEPENDS on the assumption that the thing you are trying to measure was formed in only one way. Rocks for example that contain Uranium, how can they possible know how exactly the rock formed? How do they know that it was just pure Uranium and contained none of the "daughter" elements when it was formed, like lead. Since you cannot see what the original circumstances are, they had to assume it was pure uranium. That is a FLAWED approach.

Let's assume unknown initial conditions for one single combination of parent/daughter elements, but when measuring several different parent/daughter element combinations in a given rock formation produces remarkable agreement for the age of the formation, it is ingenuous to argue that they were all deposited in just that combination.
Anyone can jump to conclusions on this one but there is no evidence it was a dinosaur we have plenty of large mammals that could fit that discription that are extinct so this isn't evidence or proof.

@DrSamba1 Actually the earth is only a couple thousand years old. The only evidence we have for the earth being any older is geological. And the Bible suggests an event that would completely change the face of the earth, splitting up the continents and mixing creatures into a pile of sediment (The Great Flood), happened. Such an event could replicate what scientists see today.

Although, some of the times Satan is being called a name like serpent or dragon, many times it is evident that it is talking about an animal. You guys make it sound as if dinosaurs walking amongst humans is a terrible thing, idea, though, ect. So what if there is oil, carbon dating, and hardly any mention of them in the bible? Wouldn't be amazing if there was, by the slightest of chances, a few living dinosaurs living and breathing no less than 2,000 years ago? I mean common look at yourselves! In this case "God's handiwork" is the Bible's terminology for God's design of the laws of physics and chemistry which made "Biological Evolution" work the way it does. But this is so far over the heads of creationists that they don't (want to) understand this. They prefer to think that the mind of God is not very much over their heads.

There is metaphore and myth in it - and the first chapters of genesis are myth. If you need to take the bible literally then dont pick and choose! Its either all or none. Interesting point for evolution here, mammals have differentiated teeth, including sharp teeth that aren't necessarily for meat. But guess what, TRex has one type of tooth, and it's purpose is to crush bone. This is a strong argument for evolution as only mammals have differentiated teeth which indicates a common ancestor.

But, neither the Hippo, rhino, or the elephant fit the description of having a "Tail like a Cedar," nor the description of being the chief (largest) of the ways of God. What is the Largest animal that God had made ... the brontosaurus. This is evidence that the layers of sediment that we find them buried in is from the Flood of the Bible., not millions of years of slow geologic processes.

@DrSamba1 First off, I agree with the apatosaurus comment. It was a mix up with the skulls of apatosaurus and another saurapod that produced brontosaurs. An irritant to this day to me as it does not really exist.
Secondly, prove that your dating methods can be trusted and are 100% accurate. After all, yes we may measure that it takes 100 years to produce 100ft of sedimentary rock in some areas, but unless it is measured every second, you may be wrong due to deposition rates speeding up/ down

@DrSamba1 It is quite possible, as radiometric dating DEPENDS on the assumption that the thing you are trying to measure was formed in only one way. Rocks for example that contain Uranium, how can they possible know how exactly the rock formed? How do they know that it was just pure Uranium and contained none of the "daughter" elements when it was formed, like lead. Since you cannot see what the original circumstances are, they had to assume it was pure uranium. That is a FLAWED approach.

Also in that same Bible passage it says that he is the 'Chief of the ways of God', meaning that he is the largest animal that God had made. The largest of all the fossils that have been found would be the brontosaurus, or now, what we know it to be the Apatosaurus, since what we called brontosaurus was determined that, the museums had placed the wrong head on it and therefore never existed.

And the Bible suggests an event that would completely change the face of the earth, splitting up the continents and mixing creatures into a pile of sediment (The Great Flood), happened. Such an event could replicate what scientists see today.

Respond to this video... Yes, and there is not only Behemoth, but Leviathan, Tannin, Unicorn, and the generic term for dinosaur called 'dragon' mentioned many times in the Bible. Although, some of the times Satan is being called a name like serpent or dragon, many times it is evident that it is talking about an animal. One can not call someone a name such as a 'pig' unless there is a real pig in which to refer. This gives much credence to the layers of sediment coming from the flood.

For example, the age of the earth is corroborated not by one, but by many radioisotopes yielding nearly identical results. I have read answers in genesis and the whole point they make is a political one, not scientific. It states that the six days of creation must be literally 24 hour days or else salvation makes no sense. With that stand, disprove any one piece of the bible and the whole becomes worthless.
