@slantyrock Really? I think Endgame was the best album since early 90's, besides 2 songs I dont really like its pure metal. "The right to go insane" and " The hardest Part of letting go" are the songs I dont like. But if youve heard the new song "public enemy no. 1" which will appear on "TH1RT3EN" ,its not that heavy at all compared to endgame. Endgame is fast and agressive ALMOST all the way through, and that is the only Megadeth record to do that since almost RIP.
@slantyrock I totally agree with this song being a masterpiece, this is probably not only the best Megadeth intro ever but the best song ever as well. And some of the best solos to be on a album in a long time, Megadeth or any other band
God Bless Megadeth! Been a Rattlehead since I first heard the Conjuring back in 1986 when I was a horny fucking 10th grader. I'm 40 now and Megadeth still KICKS FUCKING ASS!
I hate the fact that Dave's amp is at such a low volume in these concerts. When it's out in the open, his amp is loud as hell, the way it should be.....
And I'm a true metal fan because anything other than the OLD SCHOOL THRASH METAL BANDS EARLY MATERIAL SUCK. ANYTHING AFTER THEIR CLASSICS SUCK. ANY BAND AFTER THEM SUCK. OLD SCHOOLLLLLLLLL
Broderick, while not as creative, is 100000000 times better of a player than Marty, or virtually 90% of guitarists out there.
So no, you're not a "true" fan, you're just a closed minded douche nozzel that can't appreciate anything else.
I stand corrected....He was in there for a short time...Now its Chris Broderick fromJag Panzer...Sorry about that guys.... I was half way right lol...
@sebasgbl this is not true where the hell did you get this from. jeff loomis auditioned for megadeth when he was only 16 years old. and was neglected because of his age. broderick was recommended by shawn drover
@skaterobban jajaja you are wrong, jeff loomis auditioned to megadeth when he was 16, yes but hi didnt get it becaus of his age, yes. in 2008 when glen drover left megadeth, mustaine invited jeff loomis to join megadeth but he couldnt so he recomended his mate chris broderick, they play together in nevermore.
if i'm correct it's the same intro tape they used during the rust in peace tour. it is fucking awesome and the band members come out while the tape is playing and just fits perfectly. so yeah
I think he uses a pick like every other bassist in Megadeth. But I agree with the tone. It has a deep sound, but sometimes it seems a little bright.
Megadeth and Iron Maiden are my favorite bands (and Metallica). But on the players themselves. I like the bright tone you get from Steve Harris and his unique bass lines. I like the Cliff Burton solo's too. The solo in 1985(?) for For Whom the Bell Tolls was God Like. And Dave Ellefson has a special hum when he plays.
