  • Hire out a hitman to pop a cap in Goldfingers ass. much cheaper. Oppression has consequences.

  • greedy scumbags like this should be tortured and killed. the world is fucked because of scumbags like this and the greedy evil banks/financiers/weak corporate controlled governments. people need to wake the fuck up to the reality thats now affecting them. palast long ago predicted whats happening in the world financially and now it means you'll work til youre 80 to get fuck all when you 'retire'. and that's if you're one of lucky ones living in rich country. watch reality, not reality tv.

  • genius!

  • i can't wait for the world to completly destroy itself,it will happen.

  • Keep up the good work Greg it's great to see there's still real journalists out there ^-^

  • Look you RETARD,

Not everything in this world is the responsibility of Obama.

You Republitards are so fucking stupid.

  • I'm lost here .... so they are bad people because they dont want to give charity? Bush could relive debt held by the US government, but he can't force private citizens to do the same.

  • Who's paying these people, like "Goldfinger", millions of dollars for nothing? Debt relief agencies? Tax payers?

  • all he has to do is sign his name on a stupid piece of paper. only reason Bush didnt do that is because it was his crony Michael Francis "Goldfinger" Sheehan who was doing it. watch linktv to see the whole episode

  • cool?

  • This makes no sense..What's the recourse if Zambia doesn't pay it back? It's been relieved or forgiven. Don't get why the gov't pay. How does Shehan have the leverage to collect?

  • Read "Confessions of an Ecomomic Hitman" if you want to know the U.S. involvment in such matters. Do a youtube search.

  • @blaziermissy GREAT book

  • Greg Palast is amazing. His journalism digs up the mess and gets to the bottom line!!!

  • Will Obama stop this now he's in power.

    We will wait and see.

  • stop it, ru kidding me .... research kenya and larry sinclair, hes a prop

  • Thank You Mr. Palast

    Mr. Chip's

  • Read John Perkins's Confession of an Economic Hitman for a complete run down of the kind of procedure executed on third world country under the guise of globalization. A crime against humanity by any other name indeed ! Shame on all of us for letting this happen over & over & over again & still going on at this very moment... shame on us all !

  • That's right, JFWilliam, but we can change everything around if we have the heart.

  • Now it seems that the USA will taste it's own medicine... Stilglitz 4 steps / 1)Privatization. After briberization, Step Two 'Capital Market Liberalization. 3 )Market-Based Pricing, a fancy term for raising prices on food, water and cooking gas. This leads, predictably, to Step-Three-and-a-Half: what Stiglitz calls, "The IMF riot." 4) "poverty reduction strategy": Free Trade. by the rules of the World Trade Organization and World Bank. So we still have a bumpy ride toward the AMERO. Good luck !

  • Why the fuck hasn't this guy thrown Anderson Cooper's ass out in the street where it belongs.

  • It said its bill was the result of interest and costs, but the judge has indicated that Zambia should pay less.

    Zambia loses 'vulture fund' case

Zambia's infrastructure plans could be threatened

    'Vulture fund' report

A High Court judge has ruled that Zambia must pay a substantial sum to a so-called "vulture fund".

British Virgin Islands-based Donegal International paid less than $4m (£2m) for a debt the African nation owed, but sued Zambia for a $42m repayment.

  • Well of course Bush supports debt relief...its another way to soothe and reward his evil cronies....here ya go boys...fresh meat...FEED!

This country has been conquered in an ideological coup de`tat as surely as if they'd used the army...its a done deal. Ron Paul was right

now they lay them down to sleep,

And miles to go before they wake

Miles to go before they wake...

  • Damn! who's really interested in peace?

...and who's mightier a stockholder or a president? knowledge + money + political placement + blind opportunity = callous humanitarianism or Fuck Themism..this is mine-ism. M.O.B. money over bitches and M.O.B.H. money over the balance of humanity

  • sounds like the credit card companies

  • Depending how far one has buried themselves with the CCs, one can come out the other side. Not that's it's easy and there no debt relief and, you have to pay back the money borrowed and interest. you can get significantly lower interest rates. you need a 3rd party to work wit you and the CC companies, but free help is available

  • To my knowledge Brown has still not done anything about the situation.

  • boo this guys sucks

  • We've usually 'raped' these countries of their natural resources first. It's always the people who suffer. I say emigrate, even illegaly. Ever wonder why everyone is trying to get into Europe & America? It's not cause your kind, caring, loving sweethearts.

  • bobo is such a twat!

  • Bobo?

  • I dunno, I don't remember writing that comment or even seeing this video! Perhaps someone else is using my log in?

  • Oh, yeah, just re-watched this and realise that I meant BONO is such a twat. Bobo is a good name for the monkey-man tho! :)

  • SO this is the Human Race,

Some of these Comments seem to think that is ok. Some of these comments need to put on their shoes! I am very sorry for those that feed of the poor and homeless! For Vaulters is to good a name for them. And that incudes Evil Dictator!

  • as yes Vaulters!

  • they always get their hands on this monies. like the foundations and rothschilds.

  • assholes,

  • 1) Dictator takes over nation, buys shitloads of stuff, in some cases, simply gives money away to influential corporations.

    2) Democracy takes hold.

    3) IMF/World Bank hold the people of said nation responsible for the spending of their unelected, deposed dictator.

If you think that is moral, you're seriously warped.

  • i think you meant "democracy"

  • bravo brother! well said..one of those tumbs up... is from me.

  • You are a fucking idiot. Seriously the fact that there are people out there like only deepens my dispair for the future of this thing called the human race.

  • i hope your "real question" is rhetorical or sarcastic. hmmm i wonder why these countries are poor. read confessions of an economic hitman.

  • hi greg. that peice was fantastic and heartwrenching. we have this vulture stuff going on in this country, ie. huge fees from corporate banks and other gigantic usury fees which insure that a person stays in poverty. kudos to you, now if everyone would do something about this; anything , every american has to get off their ass and do something. there is power in numbers.

  • im all for the vultures..its capitalism baby!

  • then bin laden is ok, its karma baby

  • So, we should forgive every dime we loaned every nation or we are greedy evil pigs?

This is just more leftist crap. Half truths, and socialist presuppositions that are never mentioned. What else is new.

  • Let's hope China will forgive our debts to them.

Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.

  • If you to the end there Bush almost said "let us continue to extort" instead of "support."

  • Thanks. I had no idea about this. Thanks for bringing in the news.

  • You can make the same argument with the federal reserve

  • Amazing. Thank you Greg Palast!

    Wow.

  • something fishy about the whole thing, people in Zambia must have gotten paid in order that Sheehan's people might acquire the entire $40m debt for a measly $3m from Romania. I also do not get how a US court could force Zambia to pay anything?

  • Take your shit elsewhere surprisedq491.

  • Paul Singer is another vulture. He paid just $10 million for Congo Brazzaville's debt and is now suing for over $400 million! This vulture, with Bush's help, has become the top donor to Giuliani & the GOP.

  • We need more reporters like Greg Palast!

  • In Africa, if you eat a banana and throw away the skin, little matchstick leg children with sad faces like skulls will pick up the banana skin and eat it! If like me you give them a coin, a tough little kid will beat them up to steal it from them! MONEY STINKS!

  • Greg Palast is one of the best journalists working today.

  • Greg you're the best

  • I need the full version of this, which is 11:33. Can anyone help?

  • Bush won't touch them, and neither will Congress, if the Vultures have lobbyists funneling money into DC.

  • Is this any different than consumer creditors selling debt to third parties for pennies on the dollar? And than harrassing and intimidating the consumer into bankruptcy or worse?

  • When I heard that Donegal International had won the UK court case I contacted Oxfam America on Youtube and they promised they would do a lot of work on this issue but I've heard nothing for months now.

  • oh my gosh!! Carbon Emmissions Trading, Prison Occupancy Trading, Vulture Funds!! Is There no end to the greed and madness?

  • I am curious. When did these Vulture Funds start? After Wolfowitz got in the 'stealing money from 3rd world nations' game?
