@chrismallyon First of all, the students doing this experiment are all going into some field of biology and this is pertinent to their career. No architecture, or psychology or any other major is required to do this. I don't know where you are getting your "90%" statistic from. Secondly, medical students do this so that they have practice understanding how the body works. Or would you prefer we just "wing it" and go into the operating room with no experience? It's either frogs, or you.

We're not killing animals in the bio lab hours in my home country.
