Ten years ago, I thought that coming out of the closet meant giving up on my hope of ever having children. Then I figured out that there are many different ways of being a mom. Today, my partner and I are celebrating one year of being foster parents to a wonderful pair of boys. It really does get better : )
What a sweet video. Thanks for sharing. I'm also from Iowa and I'm proud that it was one of the first states to legalize same sex marriage, even though I know it's still tough for LGBT youth, because in small towns they can feel all alone. But you're right, it does get better!
