@kai07030 you are right, of course. the poor are deprived of many choices -- clean water, healthy food, medicine. however, my point was that human activity has produced pollution on global scale -- PCB, mercury, acid rain, etc.-- that no one in their right mind denies. why is CO2 pollution, with the resultant climate change, so hard to accept? nothing special there; it's just one more kind of pollution, albeit with very nasty potential.
