This band lacks one scintilla of musical relevance. They're prog for people who don't understand prog. They're metal for people who think they're above metal. They're jazz for people who don't listen to jazz. This is utterly pretentious, unimaginative tripe. Listen to RUSH and obliterate your ignorance of music.
Liking these guys is nothing special; they're brilliant musicians, and there music is quite enjoyable. The difference between them and the more widely enjoyed bands that play on the radio, is that it resonates on a deeper level with yearning, sensitive souls.

Mikael was just jealous of DeFarfalla, that's why he fired him. When he had no part of Opeth, their music became lifeless. This is trash compared to anything from Morningrise or Orchid.

The transitions tend to be awkward, the structure is amateurish compared to the likes of Still Life, and the Twin guitar harmony with extreme vocals was already on its way out at the time. That's why they changed their sound.
