In 2008 In Perth they got 72 kilometres with 11 stations (two underground, and most with well-integrated bus interchanges and hundreds of park-and-ride spaces), a stabling yard, two major water-crossings plus more than a kilometre of tunnel under the city and the project came in for just $17 million a kilometre...... we got ripped here in NSW

$246million AUSSIE DOLLARS, unbelievable, what a ripoff in every way, $246million real dollars, 3.1klm of new track, a poxy looking cheapo construction KFC looking railway station in the middle of nowhere.

The local people of schofields got there village stolen, all the Businesses , except the grog shop are dead or dying, Grog is an essential........

$246million, prolly 20% over budget, 46 brand new HILUX utes, to make a railway station, unbelievable....

Id like to know what the whole project cost? How much the budget blew out by?What the waste factor is and is anyone accountable?....

waste of taxpayers money! and inconvenient! the old station got knocked down weeks ago i feel sorry most of all for all the shop keepers up the road who would be loosing alot of biz now the stations been moved and is it true they are building another westfelds there or is somone yanking my chain?

@chalmerz I always wonder if the nearby business ever got compensated. Judging from the harsh criticism, it doesn't appear so, that they didn't get offered enough or simply because they did not want to.

@byupyu i dont think so, but i just heard now that the are bulding a new residentail area there does anybody know what they are bulding there i also heard that most of the area is owned by greg norman, gosh i hear alot of stories can anyone verify any of this gossip?

@chalmerz Greg Norman owns across the creek ,approx closer to the station than the average person living in Schofields.....

I think they put another track next to the one going all the way to vineyard
