  • Hail shri.Thyagaraja!!

  • A highly commendable feat by these genuinely talented Americans!!! Bravo!

  • This is real amazing work.Thank you for keeping Indian classical music alive through your active efforts. Also a great example of harmony and team work....We really need to learn from you...Well done and thanks again

  • Very well sung. Just few comments:

    0. Tanpura - Great, it created the real good mood to listen.

    1. Singers - sang perfect in shruti, in all the three speeds, except n the ending, which went slighlty out of shruti.

    2. Mridangam - He played really well, but it is not in shruthi.

    3. Mandolin - Cannot be heard. Very lightly which I heard was tuned to perfect shruti, and he can do great contribution to the rendition.

    4. Flute - Cannot be heard. Should increase his mike volume.

  • Deeply moved. Speechless. Appreciate your genuine interest in Indian culture. Can't wait to see your performance in South India. I wonder why there is no violin in this concert....

  • May I correct the spelling of my name....I'm Raphaëlle Brochet :)

    Thank you,

    Raphaëlle

  • Well done on another superb performance keep up the good work and keep singing.

  • Anubhavicchu paadaraanga!! Congratulations to the teacher and students in equal measure..

  • Wesleyan brings a sublime serenity to this rendition, I wish that many of our own schools could engender this interest in our Carnatic tradition. Festivals are dotted about with break dancing and bollywood inspired rock renditions that are comic and often ridiculous! Such athletic activity should be confined to the stadia where we systematically underperform in most sports! A Thyagaraja Aradhna in the US. Kudos to the organisers, the singers and the kind soul that uploaded this!

  • The performers are (L-R) Aaron Paige, Joseph Getter, Azara Golston, Anand Satchidanandan, Raphael Brochet, Pennan Chinnasamy, Emily Troll, Anand Gopalan, Christina Boyd, Harry Tokarz, and Garrett Field.

  • It would be so wonderful if the uploader would list the names of these talented musicians in the video description above. Their names were not printed in the official printed program of the Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana, in either 2009 or 2010.

  • Amazing performance..Hats off to Wesleyan, your Gurus and your own good fortune to have been blessed with such talent

  • Look at the devotion with which the students sing taking the music to ecstatic state. Wish the teachers and the taught all the best.

  • speech less, word less for the awesome performance............... so encouraged to have born in this culture........... God bless of them

  • Wonderful.God bless you

  • All the credit goes to, the teacher(s) and the taught!

  • amazing!
