Great song. The New Monkees did have talent. I will agree with all their fans on that one. I think if the Monkees name wasn't used, they would have been bigger and no controversy.

Imagine if the 1960s Monkees were (if remembered) judged only on their first album, before their individual talents could be showcased.  This is the tragedy of the New Monkees--people like me will never know what these guys could have accomplished (though I can guess it would have been fantastic).

Absolutely stunning. Sound far more like music than the hairy electric mess present in the typical episodes. I never quite liked "The New Monkees", but "Affection" and all involved feels genuine.

Yup, thought the Wigs version was much better. Remember the winter of 1988 when I ended up at Marty's house in North Hollywood, proceeded to drink his beer and kick his ass at "Sorry" while Surfin' Joe put the moves on his girl. Needless to say he kicked us all out and Bobby had to drive Joe and I back over the Hills...good times I tell ya!

I had this on VHS, but only the time when this clip ended the show. So the song was interrupted by the WXON announcer promoting the next show up, which was probably "Out of This World" or "She's the Sheriff" or something.

Marty brought this song to the band from his previous band The Wigs.The song was written by their(The Wigs) friend Ken Brown who repaced Marty in The Wigs when he left for the New Monkees.
