  • E to se zove iponcina

  • its definitelly ippon

  • stupid: makikomi simply means that Tori ist falling too; nothing else.

  • da horaa

  • this is my compatriot nazim huseynov (Azerbaijan) he was the olympic champion in barcelona 92.this video is also taken from there.even the japanese were envious of him.they used to say how lucky we were because we had such a great judoka

  • m00rad! What's he doing now? I haven't heard much about him! Is he still active in Judo? His Harigoshi was legendary..The best, a lot of amateurs mistake it for Uchimata!

  • no he is not in big sport any more.but his son is now being trained by his first judo master.i see you know about him.All judokas are proud of him here in Azerbaijan. And our new olympic champion Elnur Mammadli of course.A lot of children have come to judo since he became the olympic champion.i mean he created a big interest towards this sport here.

  • His Harigoshi is fascinating to say the lest. What's his son's name? And what's Nazim doing now? Yes I know all about his Judo I saw him upclose in Japan many times.

  • i prefer koga and his sodi's

  • beautiful. doesn't look as painful as the randleplex on fedor, but damn...

  • haha i got a geat uchi mata today in class on randori and didn't even relize i did that throw until after i threw the other guy. haha i NEVER work on uchimata.

ouch much hurt a bit =p but i guess u get use to it.

when im doing like iaido dont use mats so i guess when we did ikedo it was on hard floor o well making u harder hehe

  • Nice move.

  • isn't that dangerous. I learned that throw the second day I was freaking in Judo

  • you were able to do uchi mata on your second day?

  • uchimata is only dangerous without proper technique both to the agressor and defender

  • cool it is called uchi mata (do not attempt if your not above orange belt it is a ver dangerous throw)

  • wait im a white belt but i can uchimata?! ive been training like crazy doing uchikomi and kumikata for 6 hours a day with the UST team and im still only getting the hang of it ahaha

  • you train 6 hours a day.. honnestly?

  • yah 3 hours at home and 3 hours with the college team (which im not part of BY THE WAY) hahaha im just with the fine arts dept. team

  • wow! sounds like you're still a virgin

  • lmao..... nah its aload of crash corses here and there

  • nice

  • that was in that budget bodyguard movie

  • Perfect implemending!!!

  • Judo is awesome

  • i saw sum1 do that

  • Its uchimata because the leg goes between the opponents thighs. It lloks like it WAS a harai attempt, but ended up uchimata. Anyone that thinks this is a makikomi is an idiot. Makikomi involves throwing your arm over the opponents arm and trapping it to wind the opponent around your body. So OF COURSE grips make the makikomi.

  • thank you that is what I tried to explain to mr. michaelroyburke over there ^_^

  • this guy is right and i do agree with him!

    judonerd what's your belt?

  • just a simple yellow in judo and white with 4 stripes in BJJ.

  • The throw was a Harigoshi attempt by Nazim Guseinov of URS (now Azerbaijan) ended in Uchimata, Guseinov always used a right hand (thumb pointing down towards opponents belt) reverse collar grip to execute his lethal Harigoshi he also committed his upper body with almost a full twist, if his opponent stepped out of his sweeping leg while doing Harigoshi Guseinov would continue to lift his leg for an Uchimata effect.

  • it is uchi mata :)

  • The winding motion looks makikomi-like to me. That seems more important to me than the grip. The same throws often have multiple grips.

Anyway, since you're obviously a judo expert what would you call this throw?

  • lol chill buddy it was a general comment. first of all you do makikomi holding one grip (lapelle or sleeve , pick one etc.) at the end he still has 2 grips, that's just a clue to how I don't think it's a makikomi. And that's an uchimata by the way, follow his leg movement. p.s. I never said I was an expert, It's called a personal opinion, learn to accept them :)

  • looks like hane goshi or hane makikomi.

  • makikomi? since when does a normal lapelle and sleeve grip mean makikomi? and i agree it's a beautiful throw, one that jigoro kano himself would aproove of.and if you don't know who that is, don't even bother with judo lol

  • what do you mean by just usual? that was a well executed throw. More like a really good uchimata!

  • i love that throw one fo my fav and just to poit out look at his left hand . "Not holdin on"
