Hey from Eastern Canada,I really like this knife. The simplicity of the handle I find very attractive.Where can I get one? What is the price?Great video and your dog is very helpful. Thanks alot and have a large day.
thanks for posting this video looks like a realy nice knife ive got a traditional marttiini knife i got from finland its scary sharp i realy injoy carving with it
Great clip. I believe that for most things people would use a knife for, 2mm thick blades would provide superior performance. this razor strop fungus( i have never heard of if before) is it dressed with some sort of compound
@bodgermorg Hello.. it was part of a fishing hook.... you lash a sharp spike to the straight bit at the bottom.... another idea for a vid!! Oh and it was willow again... we have lots of it here. Thanks for the comments
The only drawback with this steel is that it will rust if not kept dry and is not for salt water environments. In regards to keeping it dry my freind lost one in the snow over christmas and couldn't find it for 7 days until the snow had gone. The knife only had some small rust spots which came out easily and polished up as new!
Hello, yes the 01 is a really good steel, almost all the bushcraft knife makers use it. It has excellent edge holding properties and hardens and tempers easily. I have battoned heavily with both the 2mm and 3mm blades without any issues at all. Although if you are concerned then always go for the 3mm.
Bought one of your knives from newforest bushcraft some time ago,VERY pleased with it. Used it loads for everything imaginable and still looks as good as the day it was delivered. Nice leather work too.
this knife looks like a great value little bushcraft knife, i might buy my dad one for his birthday infact as we both have a love of bushcraft, i recently gave him my clipper as i now have a bcnw 01 knife and a mora 510
Thank for posting this one. I love Knifes.. I have so many now that buying one more may send my wife up the wall, lol. but if I were to but another one I would like it to be that one..
love the knife had to laugh at the dog haha when you asked to shave the dog that was funny it looks like a very nice knife thanks for the video man keep them comeing
awesome, a 2mm thick blade that is full tang, a mora on steroids, if i had the money i would invest in one.
