  • awesome, a 2mm thick blade that is full tang, a mora on steroids, if i had the money i would invest in one.

  • nice knife and nice girl:)) is jack russell??

  • Hey from Eastern Canada,I really like this knife. The simplicity of the handle I find very attractive.Where can I get one? What is the price?Great video and your dog is very helpful. Thanks alot and have a large day.

  • @LiamMitts HI Liam

If you're interested in buying one can you email me at learnbushcraft@gmail.com and we can discuss knife options there.

The dog is not always helpful, yet another bath in fox poo the other day!! Made it to the couch before we realised!

    All the best

    Dale

  • i hope you sell to the USA why limit selling opprtunities

  • doesn't scraping the firesteel against the knife deform it a bot on the spine? i tried it with a mora clipper in stainless and it left a mark on it

  • LOLdog

  • great vid, thanks

  • Great clip. I believe that for most things people would use a knife for, 2mm thick blades would provide superior performance. this razor strop fungus( i have never heard of if before) is it dressed with some sort of compound

  • Hi

You bushcraft buddy is a real charmer. What are you making around 4:46 with the tight inside cut? and what's the wood?

    Thanks

    Mike

  • @bodgermorg Hello.. it was part of a fishing hook.... you lash a sharp spike to the straight bit at the bottom.... another idea for a vid!! Oh and it was willow again... we have lots of it here. Thanks for the comments

  • if i didnt have my own custom design i would buy one!

  • Great knife, but whats your dogs name? looking forward to checking out this knife! L8r

  • Looks like a real nice knife

  • The only drawback with this steel is that it will rust if not kept dry and is not for salt water environments. In regards to keeping it dry my freind lost one in the snow over christmas and couldn't find it for 7 days until the snow had gone. The knife only had some small rust spots which came out easily and polished up as new!

  • Hello, yes the 01 is a really good steel, almost all the bushcraft knife makers use it. It has excellent edge holding properties and hardens and tempers easily. I have battoned heavily with both the 2mm and 3mm blades without any issues at all. Although if you are concerned then always go for the 3mm.

  • Bought one of your knives from newforest bushcraft some time ago,VERY pleased with it. Used it loads for everything imaginable and still looks as good as the day it was delivered. Nice leather work too.

Hope you post more vids soon.

  • Certainly have.... many times! Have a rather large collection now!

  • That's nothing! I built myself a tool shed with the same knife.

    Rookie.

  • Well i feel the gauntlet has been thrown down with that comment... my 98 foot longship is currently under construction and my knife is wearing away!

  • i like it

    best wishes

    good luck

  • This is great stuff! I really like your style!

  • i think that he made it

  • @youseemreallybored it a type of fungus, its a bracket fungus and it grows high on trees
