  • Great collaboration with Jill Colucci. Great story about how they wrote it too.

  • i love this song its just so romantic aw how sweet

  • please anyone can help me?

this lyrics in final part of the chorus, he says

i can't keep pretending i dont love you anymore.

my quest is, he still loves her? o he don't love her anymore??

  • @brianfer123 He says "I can't keep pretending, that I don't love you anymore"

He loves her with all of his heart, but with his circumstances, he's trying to pretend that he doesn't love her because he doesn't want her to see him in such a painful and sad stage of his life.

In the music video, he was a Vietnam vet who lost his legs and was recovering in a hospital. He didn't return her calls and didn't want her to come see him like that. But he loved her so much, he couldn't keep pretending.

  • @bigdmck01 thanks man =D

    i don't speak english propertly

so i couldn't understand what was about

    this lyrics =D

  • @bigdmck01 actually in the final chorus he does sing "i cant keep pretending I DONT LOVE YOU ANYMORE. he doesnt say the word that.. but to answer brianfer123s answer is YES, he does still love her, because if you watch the video then you knw the answer. he and the woman end up together

  • @kobey333 Yes correct, in the Album version, he doesn't say 'that' however in this video, he does.

  • @brianfer123 HE MEANS HE CAN'T PRETEND NOT TO LOVE HER WHEN HE KNOWS HE STILL DOES HE FEELS UNWORTHY I GUESS CUZ HE IS INJURED SO HE TRIED TO TELL HER HE DIDN'T LOVE HER SO SHE WOULD GET ON WITH HER LIFE BUT HE CANNOT GO THROUGH WITH IT!

  • @brianfer123 Of course he still loves her. Thats what its about. He can't pretend he doesn't anymore

  • I want to dedicate this song to my Fiance. We maybe a part for a few months cause he is in jail. Everytime I hear this song I think of him. I love you so much David and I can't wait to be your wife.

  • Fantastic song and a classic !!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is why country music is the best, most true music out there.

  • damn I aint a country person but good music is good music and this is classic

  • I remember Travis sang "Anymore" live on either CMT Awards or American Music Awards show back in 1991 or 1992 and it was amazing. He played it solo and it is still my favorite version of "Anymore" but can't seem to find that version anywhere.

  • mohsadmx, I found a couple of acoustic vids of him singing this completely by himself, here on youtube. You might do a new search of 'Travis Tritt Anymore' and see what comes up for you. Hope it helps :)

  • Use to hear this when I was little boy

  • i AM soo not a country person, but I alwayz loved this song and old skool george strait and LOL.

  • i love this song so much i got to meet travis at a truck stop and he sat at the both next to me and my soon to be wife and he played us this song cuz we were fighting and it brought us closer than we have ever been befour

  • That is awsome. I've seen interviews with Travis and he seems like a real, down to earth guy who just cares about people.

  • oops i mean travis!!!!!!!!

  • I met the REAL writer to this song and I heard him him do this song, which lives in Wisconsin ......... anyways Randy did an awesome job!!!!

  • When I was learning this song.. On most of the lyrics it says that it was written by Jill Colucci.. Not saying your lying man.. Just saying what it said.

  • Yes, this song was co-written by Jill Colucci and Travis Tritt.

  • I went to school with Travis. His band played for school functions all during middle & high school. Imagine how we all felt when we first heard him on the radio! I have 2 favorite songs. This one & "Drift off to Dream".
