I am a firm ldS and have friends who are gay, friends who drink... The church never taught me not to be friends with anyone. This talk is for us all, to be reminded of what brings peace and closeness to God in this life, just as we are taught not to drink alcohol... that does not mean we judge those who drink. That along with the Saducees asking Jesus if marriage was to occur in the next life and his categorical answer was no, they'd be his ministering angels. The Bible crumbles it all. @crazeegeye if you're talking about Matthew 22:29-30 then you are right marriage cannot occur in the next life. Eternal marriage is an ordinance that only be performed here on earth and that's why it says "in the resurrection", meaning after one is resurrected they cannot perform the ordinance. And he says in 29 "ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the POWER of God."
