Most covers somehow manage to fuck this song up by some magical mystery. Yours is spot on, aside from the harmonics in the main riff. Ace!

You're right, I did miss something BUT it's not harmonics...careful listening reveals that there's a muted D playing 8th triplets for the whole duration of the muted strumming part. It's another layer rather than part of the main guitar part. So, as far as I can tell (although I could be wrong about this), I got the parts I played right, but missed out an additional part. Also, the panning's wrong. But never mind, the in-game version was in mono anyway!

@PQleyR Shouldn't be too surprised. The original game song was cool back then, but it doesn't sound all that awesome anymore. Many covers on here are better than the original, including this one. I wish the volume on yours was a little louder and more powerful though.

@cidien I imagine that's firstly because I didn't want to compress it too much (so it retains more dynamics and sounds better when you play it louder), but also because what you see on this is what you get...if I was trying to make a new, better version of the original rather than a video of me covering it, I would probably have recorded more guitar tracks with different amp settings, guitars and combinations of tones...but a video of me playing the same part six times would be a bit dull!
