Sort of, he was skiing a line that ended in a deep cliff, where he then should release his skie's and pull his shute.

Sadly enough one ski didn't release and he started spinning, where the chanses of opening your shute safly, if you can even open it, are non.

Heh... He ripped a line steeper then I've ever even got puckered up on and then opted for an easier way down... all on two kid's snowboards strapped to his feet.
