  • You can count the number of Hollywood movies about George Washington on one finger, but Hollywood has produced a library of films on the likes of Stalin, Che Guevara, Castro. What gives Hollywood, why the love affair with communist revolutionaries but not an American revolutionary?

  • Who is proud to be a american thumbs up if you are ! and i am proud!

  • see 0:17 on george washington

  • its funny how the french have been our allys even when we whernt a nation and now it seems like every bofy hates them.

  • @beebeea1

Its funny how American forces saved France in WWI and liberated them in WWII and now they all hate America...

  • @Robertz1986 Even worse, most Europeans now blame the US for WWII!

  • has this movie been scrapped? I do not remember seeing anything about this.

  • I want to dig him up and put what's left of him back in the white house. We need to remind the America that exists today that George Washington really was a true leader for the ages, not a myth. Today the men we get are cowards, sellouts, betrayers, thieves, liars, and all that can be disgusting and shameful about humanity. The total opposite of Washington.

  • @MrDeppness Amen...I could not agree more! Most men today are lying cowards who only think of padding their already full pockets...

  • @jchez1965 Thank you.

  • WASINGTON in chinese.... ToN-SHiNg-Wa .hahahaha

  • God Bless George Washington may he rest in peace forever!

  • Holy fuckin shit , this video completes me

  • This video was majestic and beutifull! :D

  • I absolutely love this video. It's very well done.

  • I don't mean to bring religion into this, but I truly believe GOD put some people on this earth for a reason - one person was George Washington. In the French & indian war - his coat had 17 bullet wholes in it & not a mark on him. The indians gave him a name which meant "he who could not be killed". When he was asked to lead this new country, he could have declared himself king & when he left office - the heads of Europe could not believe he gave up power...GREAT MAN, GREAT AMERICAN

  • I agree 100%.

  • Great british soldier who kicked some french ass too. Shame he was a traitor to his country and the empire.

  • @steve1mufc Shame your empire thought him weak and unworthy to wear the redcoat. All because he was a born collonial- your loss- our gain. We won because of your countries own delluded views of self-worth and stuck up natures. A traite you brits have yet to illiminate from your genes. SAD FOR YOU

  • Quite extraordinary. Still the Inferiority complex remains strong in the heart. Good day sir.

  • @someoneold If you read his diary entries and his letters you;d know he himself said ' FOUR' shots were fired at him 2 through his coatt and two horses that were shot from under him. Lets not forget his teeth were made of various types of metal and animal teeth and he was steril eand constantly sick. Yes a great american but very much human and really died a pathetic ( doc incompitence) death . I hated researching his death the most.

  • @someoneold oh and his name fro the natives was ' The destroyer of nations"

  • @boredlikehell2008 The nations part is actually peoples but at the time the natives were on the French's side so it was easily thrown about as nations. ...yeah washington was an obssession o fmine for a time.

  • @someoneold

American? Anglo-American at least. The only true Americans were and are the redskins...

  • @someoneold I believe that as well. I also believe General Patton was put on this planet too for the reason of defending America, if you read into him it is remarkable. Then if you look into Joan of Arc, if she had not done anything. Britian would have had France and then America would of had no ally during the Revolutionary war.

  • @someoneold Jesus Christ, you are stupid. Why would God, if he existed, favour one country over another?

  • @someoneold There was another incident during a battle with the British when British sharpshooters had Washington in their cross-hairs but they could not bring themselves to shoot him because he looked so resplendent on his horse.

  • When will this film be released?

  • I hope the directors are really good. I hope they don't defile the name and story of George Washington. The directors have an enormous task in capturing the man's honor, glory, uncompromisable character and sheer bravery.

  • After seeing David Morse as George Washington in the "John Adams" HBO Miniseries, I really can't see anyone else playing the role.

  • waiiit.... are those french musketeers in the white uniforms?

  • If I recall correctly what I read, which I'm sure I have;Washington indeed made many sacrifices. While he was given better amenities such as clothing and winter lodgings lets not forget that the responsibility to hold together this band of rabble fell ultimatly on his shoulders. He could have been hanged for treason, and there is an account of his coat being riddled with holes from enemy fire.He even dedicated his own fortune to pay and feed his troops.

  • gah, i'm impatient for this proposed movie to be released! :D

  • USA USA USA USA

  • I would've thought the first person to sign the declaration was the first american. Well actually they all became american at the same time in 1783

  • I believe the term "first american" dosent actually imply that he was the first, but rather it is used in the way "first lady" is used.

  • "First in War, First in Peace." That's what it's talking about.

  • there was a tv movie about washington in 1984

  • Great idea and great proposed trailer. I've always thought it would be cool if a movie was made about Washington's life, he was such an amazing man and one of my all time heroes. Also nice touch with the "Master and Commander" score.

  • yeah, the best part of the film would be when he was buying and selling slaves, then punishing them for not doing the appropriate stuff for cottonand/or sugar.

  • its not master and commander its english music by vaughn williams

  • Funny how people always talk about slavery with these guys. Was it wrong? Yes. Did the founders know things had to change? Yes. Were they not sure how? Yes. They also thought women were inferior to men. Just the way the times were. Just get over it. They're long gone and bitching won't change anything.

  • You know what?? I'm not even going to discuss it anymore because you're just a pathetic royalist.

THIS IS A GEORGE WASHINGTON VIDEO, NOT A GEORGE III VIDEO!!! Go talk about kings and england somewhere else!!

  • i agree. George Washington has, and always will be my hero. He is seriously the greatest person that ever lived on this earth!!!

  • no! Washington was the greatest person to ever live, and he is ACTUALLY SOMEONE TO LOOK UP TO! What do kings and queens do? "Off with his head!" or "You there! GO do this for me!"

    EXACTLY!!!!

  • What to Generals and Presidents do? "You there! Go die for me!"

Now Royalty. Those are people to admire. Not only do the run the country with unequaled power, They've convinced people that they should run the country with said power, whilst they sit atop a mighty throne worth more than your house.

    EXACTLY!!!!

  • Exactly, smart one! They have ABSOLUTE POWER and the people can't think for themselves and they always have to follow what the kings and queens say! At least in a FREAKIN REPUBLIC people can vote for their laws instead of the monarch just throwing out RANDOM new laws, etc.

EXACTLY!!!! AND DO NOT TWIST MY WORDS lanz0r4tehwin!!!

  • When was the last time you voted a law in? Hows the Patriot Act doing for ya? At least in a FREAKIN MONARCHY the royalty are mostly competent at their jobs and if the parliament is shit the Monarch will just give them the boot and new ones will be appointed to take their place. But Republics are just: Deal with it until the next election.

    EXACTLY!!!!

  • yah thats good because if ur royalty is shit and the parliment is shit then ur stuck with both and i dont want to be ruled by some old woman who should be dead by now the queen needs to die and the prince who went to afghanistan should take the throne even thought he's not suppoce to he should his brother didn't do shit

  • in the uk, the royals have fuck all power, since the civil war in the 16 hundreds, the people of england showed they had the balls to kill their own monarchy and they have fuck all power, and the parliament is the highest authority in the land

  • The Royals have to approve the laws, but have limited power now days, but they do have the final say, hence: Constitutional Monarchy.

  • exactly. have you ever heard of her not passing a law by chance?

  • Actually. The British Royal family doesn't have a constitution to limit their power, they just do it out of good will I suppose. God bless the Royal family.

  • hip hip hurrah for that!

  • who do u think runs parliment this is how parliment is 1st King or Queen 2nd Prime Minister

  • fuxk that shit. the royals have done more for the citizens of the uk than politicians have ver done. how many congresmens's sons have gone to a war zone? whilst the royal family sends one (prince harry)

  • i liked the fact that he owned slaves, thats why admire him the most!

  • that's lovely. somewhat interesting but lovely

  • The only American I regard as a hero. As a Canadian I accept him as a great leader and tactician. World leaders today could learn a thing or two.

  • Spectacular. He's still my favorite American.

  • I would be the first in line to see this movie! When is it coming out?

  • we need a george washington film!!!!!

  • Why? "america" is already brainwashed.

  • yes we do!!! I hope it's going to come out soon!

  • George Washington was a deistist I think its spelled. I'm not sure, but it means he belived in a God, but that he hadn't been around for a while.

  • So what if he is. All a deist is, is a person who believes in God but rejects miracles, holy books and divine revelation. It's really not a big deal, and we shouldn't be even talking about this ridiculous stuff.

  • I HOpe there's going to be a George Washington♥ film!!! that would be so cool! He is seriously the greatest person that ever lived!!!!

  • "LONG LIVE GEORGE WASHINGTON!"

  • You know, there are just some things said that you don't even have to look to see if the person saying it is white. Why is white the only people like that. You say something against washington or amerikkka and it could be any race saying it. But the one retorting back in support will ALWAYS be white. I think that PROVES the iliigitimacy of his "legend".

  • who cares if he owned slaves. ALMOST EVERYBODY DID AT THE TIME!!!

  • Actually no. Most of Europe has abandoned slaves by that stage.

  • Wow.. This is pretty nicely made. The music from Master and Commander fits very well at times. It would be about time a good biopic were made of Washington..

  • The only problem I can see is that there might be some controversy over the fact that he owned slaves. Does a slaveholder (even though he was also a general and a president) deserve a film? (I'm not saying that's what I think, but that's the type of debate people should be prepared for..)

I'd really like to see such a movie made, but if it'll be on the level of 'Sally Hemmings: An American Scandal' or 'Benedict Arnold: A Question of Honor', I don't think I'd want to go see it..

  • Is this movie being made? Do you know? I would love to see it!

  • Why did they want freedom from the uk. They're nice people.

Beside is it Ben Franklin who is considered as the first American!

  • Washington rules. All hail George Washington. Even foreigners should. There is no reason NOT to worship this man.

  • he had 300 slaves but guess what? he freed all of them in his will and his will also said that he WANTED THEM TO HAVE JOBS, EDUCATION, AND FREEDOM!!! HE SET THEM FREE AND EDUCATED THEM, GAVE THEM JOBS, AND MUCH MORE!!!!!!

  • good. that's the way i like it

  • THANK YOU!! at least someone understands his glory!!

  • So what, they were still slaves. He could've freed them long before he died and employed 'em to work for him, he just freed them in his will to make him look good for the history books.

  • no. you are SO wrong. He was under so much stress because during his life, He desperately wanted to free them, but he couldn't because then how the heck could He run Mount Vernon by Himself?? Exactly. He and Thomas Jefferson were trying to think of ways to abolish slavery. Maybe you should read some history books, you might learn something.

  • Did you even read my comment? He could've EMPLOYED the slaves to work for HIM.

  • "I would never have drawn my sword in the cause of America if I could have conceived thereby that I was founding a land of slavery."

    - la Feyette

  • "I slept there once: good beds, nice room service, but the rates are ridiculous."--George Washington

  • ate opponent's brains - and invented cocaine

  • here comes george - in control - women dug his snuff and his gallant stroll

  • No,man, with his rotted teeth and big nose, YOU seem to be the only woman to dig his snuff.

  • his teeth were not rotted, and MANY women adored him by the way. so perhaps you may wish to rethink your hypothesis

  • I love that song!

"Washington, Washington, 12 stories high made of radiation. the present beware, the future beware. he's coming, he's coming, he's coming.."

    THAT SONG IS AWESOME!

  • great video too!

  • No. Washington was the first American. He went through so much and made so many sacrifices to give us freedom from britain.

  • I'm pretty sure the Continental soldiers and British Royal Marines sacrificed more to do their jobs.

  • washington and the congress sacraficed the most it may sound weird but it's true 1st do u think the british were gonna hang the continetal army hell no they were gonna hang washington and the leaders

  • If I remember, Washington led battles... doesn't that mean he risked his life? If I remember Washington caught cold and nearly died... if I remember, Washington had been shot once... he may not have sacrificed as much as the dead, but I know he was hurting... not to mention survivor's guilt from seeing the men who believe in you dying all around. Sometimes it doesn't matter what you did (some people who die weren't willing to), but he was willing to actually sacrifice himself, and thats enough

  • Yes? Lol.

  • Washington risked so much! But seriously, that man could not be shot. The bullets always somehow managed to miss him, only tearing his uniform but never touching him. Amazing man, he was.

  • If by some odd chance that the war was lost or Washington captured it would've been by the order of a distant king that Washington be hung. No British General who dared to call himself a gentleman would hang George Washington. If the king decreed it, I believe that His Highness' lordly generals would have petitioned him not to. He may have been the enemy to them but he was a soldier. A leader of farmers who stood up against the finest army in the world. It's respect.

  • Extraordinary. I wish a Washington biopic was made. I love that man for his sacrifice, service, and example.

  • What, example of his SLAVERY? Of his INFECTING INNOCENT PEOPLE so they DIE and that he can STEAL their ANCESTRAL HOMELANDS? You MUST be white.

  • The "Master and Commander" soundtrack doesn't work here.

  • Well if by "master" they mean slaver. Then "master" might work here.

  • fuck, that trailer sucked.

and i do believe it's franklin that's considered the "first american."

  • no. Washington is definitely the first American. this is something COMPLETELY random okay, but please answer it anyway:

If you had to go on a date with Ben Franklin or George Washington, who would it be?

that's just something random that came out of my head... don't take offense to it or anything

  • 00:15-00:20 it sounds like the beginning of the song idylls of pegasus

  • he made love like an eagle falling from the sky

  • from what i take its not a real movie but one they want to be made.

  • Washington was a popular guy. You'd be popular too if you had thrown a knife into heaven and could kill with a stare.

  • let me lay it on the line, he had two on the vine, i mean two sets of testicles so divine.

  • When is this movie coming out, or did it already?

  • When is this movie coming out, or did it already?

  • Very nice job. So good I thought it was something from either the history, or the biography channel.

  • Grammer was in a Movie about Bennedict Arnold called a Question of Honor. It was pretty good. Also Jeff Daninels did The Crossing about Washing crossing the Deleware River to attack Trenton on the Morning of Dec. 26th 1776.

  • I'd see this

  • produced by: The Free Masons

  • No. We went into the worls wars because the Germans or Japs kicked us into it. France was just a convenient battleground.

  • God bless France for saving us.

  • We've paid France back several times over. We've spilled too much blood for France.

  • There needs to be a Geroge Washington movie...Or mini-series. I'm amazed that one hasn't been done.

  • actually kelsey grammer did a mini-series or tv movie not too long ago for A&E i believe... havent seen it myself though

  • there was a movie on washington it was on tv Frasier played him, but there should be a theater movie on him
