no i didnt complain they are for business. disk drives are not need although convenient. they are just laggy and slow. compared to other laptops i used for simple things like excel, word, checking email, ect.

I have the X200, and I just used the cd-drive to install windows. Never used it after then.

Disk drive? Disk drives are useless on a laptop. The only time in the last few months I've used my optical drive /even on my PC/ was when installing my OS. Beyond that, I have no need for it. Why would I carry it around with me; regatdless of if I play games or do work?

This series of thinkpads i think is dying out. Contrary to previous thinking, the new business warriors are looking for high mobility and battery life yet cheap which is where ULV like Acer Timeline shines. Most of my friends now bring netbooks when on trips.

HDMI? Do you really need that for business. You would think in conferences there would be a HDTV right there for you to connect. It is build for PRESENTATION, so its usually connected to a bigger computer screen or rather yet, a projector. I will say that it will be a waste of money buying an HDTV specifically for your work. In business you are either in a company, or on the move. Business laptops are usually built for "on the move".

HD is handled by the CPU and GPU, however the GPU is as as much important as the cpu, so bad gpu and good cpu= bad lag when watching

I know that its run by both cpu and gpu but that cpu can run 720p video without any problem so I am sure than it could handle it.... you might be right perhaps the lack of a dedicated gpu might be more of a detrament than I am thinking but I think that it could handle a 720p video without much difficulty

No, he's not fucking with you. You're dumb, the 4500 chipset might not have the HD offloading function of the 4500MHD, but the CPU is sufficiently fast enough to decode and play the videos. Hell, I've got a Pentium 4 that can process HD movies.
