Great Video!! I honestly like this heritage paint on the P42dc power a lot better than their regualr paint. maybe if I decide to come out railfaning again & if I see that power, I'll start filming amtrak again. Great Work!!!
Great shots. Sounds like the crossing gates in the second shot weren't fully lowered until the train was nearly right on the crossing, judging by the fact that the bell doesn't quit ringing until 1:40, about 5 seconds before the locomotives get there and after the engineer of AMTK 156 was already halfway through the horn sequence for the crossing.
Sweet man I bet this will end up on amtrak 19! & I hope it runs on 19 sunday & not monday, or tues. Caught this once trailin & leading by surprise. He is all on that horn quilling, Great vid
Man, you got a nice catch on that one. I recorded P-092 leaving Tampa at 50th St. this past monday (8/15/11) and he just had the regular phase V units on him. It seems I can never get a shot of a heritage unit, when they've come to Tampa probably 3 times now. Oh well. Do you know the reason as to why they started to paint the units into the heritage schemes?
It's funny. I just went through Washington a couple days ago and saw no sign of this in the yard. It must have gotten in there yesterday on another train and then put on this. Anyway excellent catch!
