"...an instrument of punishment thrust upon women for having sex." It's important to note that rape is completely different than sex. Rape is about power, not pleasure. People who were raped did NOT have sex. They were stripped of their own "fundamental human right" to have consensual relations. It's fair to say that abortion would not "alleviate" the burden of rape, but it does allow a person to have an easier time dealing with the trauma from the rape.
yes but i would like to propose to the maker of the video the following senario:the famous violinist was loved among his people and he become sick and needed blood. so they kidnaped someone and made them give blood to the violinist for nine months however during the nine months an opportunity for escape arose should they take it ?
I agree with many of your points, but I disagree that in these cases the act of abortion boils down to using the fetus' extermination as a punishment towards the rapist. What about the right of the woman to continue her life free from the responsibility of carrying to term due to involuntary conception and/or being the mother of a violent offender's child. I'm sure that part, and only some part, of the reason there continue to be rapists is because their genes are perpetuated successfully.
@eyemfine, Never did I or would I claim that an abortion is a way to get back at a rapist. However, abortion does not and never will alleviate the pain of a rape. I did say that if you're pro-life only when a woman chooses to engage in sexual activity, that's basically saying that children are punishments because if she gets raped and becomes pregnant, only then is it acceptable to kill a child. We don't kill children conceived in rape after their birth. Nor is it acceptable before.
Good, that some people know what really is right what really is wrong.

@eyemfine So what are you saying? Rapists wouldn't exist without abortion? Is "rapist" a marked gene or something?
