It goes both ways. I respect anybody that succeeds on merit against the wishes of those around them. My best friend, who is white, enrolled his son in a Pop Warner football league that was 99% black. I asked him why when there was a league closer to home? He said he would have to put up with all the shit talk and start from day one playing against more aggressive players. His son ended up getting a scholarship to a Div. 1 school in the SEC. Something to be said for the correlation.

What I didn't know was that his hand was damaged before the fight but he played and fought any way. to make a long story short we joked that we were "sorry you made your hand worse by beating on Cairns helmet." I'm so tired of hearing the racism card. I have an experience that most white athletes can sympathize with. I've played basketball and hockey. I can't tell you how many times I've been called whitey, cracker, you play white defense, etc. Where all of us white guys bent over backwards not to say a word remotely offensive to any black or minority member. Yet they have free reign to say whatever they please, no matter how offensive.
