@Z34teen Not at all saying it's not a good car. However as priced to the competition, it doesn't stack up.
Again it's a cool car and I'm glad that it's here for the sake of Buick's future BUT better can be had NOW from others. Demand better GET better.....we're almost there US car makers.
A buick going through a slalom, there is something unnatural about that. But the to come performance version is the one that I would prefer, obviously.
even though i mite get alot of people saying are u crazy but i rather have the 97-05 regal.....the 3800 although old motor was best suited to the regal than these 4 cyl..
this car is a fucking joke, shitty gas mileage for a 4 cyclinder, they should have just put the 3.6 v6 in. its also pretty slow. the hyundai eleantra is much better
"Compete with european premium level sedans"! How John Davis can say that with a straight face is beyond me? If this is the best GM can do they should go out of business. What a piece of trash!
Regal is just so overweight , weighs as much as a full-size car. It has nothing over the Audi A4, Acura TSX, Volvo S60, or Even the VW CC. All of those cars are superior over the Regal in many senses.
The Base Engine is just pointless & rough. Then you get the Turbo engine which is good, but then it struggles to move the Regal's weight fluently to compete against competitors.
The Rear-end looks sleep IMO but the front-end still looks like an old traditional Buick for Baby Boomers.
@cames2222 under 10 seconds for a Naturally Aspirated base model isn't bad. the 2.0L Turbo does 0-60 in the 7 second range, while the performance GS model has been speculated between the 5 and 6 second range with it's 255 HP, and AWD.
I'm with you; I think "Motorweek" should test the Regal Turbo CSX and the Regal GS coming out later this year. They've done that when the Hyundai Sonata and its cousin Kia Optima.
the China 2009- North America 2011- Buick Regal is assembled in
China: November 2008 - Present
Germany: 2009-February 2011
Canada: Oshawa, Ontario February 2011 - Present

I can find any advantage for this car. Design, engine power, fuel consumption.
Just out of date,

@telj1 Do some research. This is actually a very good car and is surprisingly competitive.

@Z34teen 9.4 seconds 0-60 is hardly competitive. I'm embarrassed GM is selling this as a premium American car.

Buick, a posh premium brand? i must be too young. Buick to me means old retired people in big soft sedans. It's really difficult to shake that image.

Another disappointing product from GM... even an Accent is faster, though oldies won't want to go faster than that...LOLZ!!!

Man everyone is hating on this car, but you have to admit this is a much better buick than in the past and it really isn't that bad.

Sonata seems better with its price and performance...
With base Regal price, you can buy 2.0t Sonata...:-(

Not even lexus. GM should target the Hyundai Sonata/Honda Accord/Mazda 6 market. I would take the Sonata over this and save ~$5K in the process.

How can they allow themselves to call this borng sedan a REGAL?? A shame, Buick should have had an American charactered sporty 2 door.
