I don't know the actual facts of this particular case but i worked as a Geo in Ghana for both a multi-national and a small junior gold company but i know in both cases we compensated people for their land and houses. We actually had several removal trucks full of cash to pay people.
Also most farming land is owned by the local Chief so the state is compensated. I'd expect something more factual and accurate from a documentary

The government should make it a fundamental requirement that those who have vacated their farm land are reimbursed a substantial sum, provided with jobs or opportunites to relocate to areas where they can farm. Mr. Obama should try Bill Clinton before Congress for allowing Osama Bin Laden for bombing the U.S. Embassies in the two East African countries of Kenya and Ethiopia.
He can also try George Bush and co. for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. That is best for America (and the world, so there!!!)

Did i hear them say the world bank is funding some portion of a dev project for this gold. that means that the AFricans will pay and pay again later for the money that the white "south african occupiers" are taking as they inherited debt from the white south africans when mandela came into office. i know that this cannot go on much longer. it has to cease. how much gold can they sale. how much gold and diamonds can they continue to extract. there is not end to their greed and lack of compassion.
