I always have to wonder if Breaking Bad is trivializing the problem of meth and drugs in America. Don't get me wrong, I love the the show and it has to be the best drama since the Sopranos. I just wonder if it's making the meth and drug dealer culture cool to viewers who know nothing about the real thing.

@mradamcooley The Wire is so far above Breaking Bad- BB has good drama and plotting, but The Wire is basically a masters class on poverty and the failure of govt and community to deal with problems and is also more honest regarding drugs. BB shows the DEA char saying idiotic and racist things, but he turns out to be a good guy as opposed to the real DEA-who are modern day prohibition era gangsters

They hype you up for HOURS before you even walk in there and basically tell you that if you aren't screaming and cheering like a buffoon, you won't be allowed in for the taping. By the time you get your seat, they've got everyone all frothed up, and still, there are staff members waving their arms in front of you, trying to get you even more riled up.
