  • It is a jungle....I think this is vietnam....OOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHH

    MMMMMYYYYYYYYYYYY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDD!!!!

  • Al Cliver rules!

  • A Vietnam flashback we don't even get to see? Antonio Mayans?

    Has to be Jess Franco.

  • @dcamaggots Poor Al cliver he trys so hard.

  • @hchristos

But not in this movie he doesn't. Even he can't save this one, which is one of the worst Franco movies I've ever seen - and that's saying a lot!

  • @dcamaggots Hahaha, I won't lie I think this movie is hilarious if they just tried harder. It seems like everything just happeneds super fast. Then slow then fast. I like the whole Vietnam vets getting involved and flipping out. hahahaha.

  • @hchristos

This is probably the only good scene in this movie, and it achieves near-impossible level of dullness.

And it has such promise - Al Cliver as a low-rent Indy, Ursula Buchfellner nude for most of the movie, Werner Pochat as a villain, Vietnam flashbacks, and a black guy with his cock out for the whole movie.

Only Jess Franco could mix up such great trash movie ingredients and completely fuck it up.

Franco can achieve greatness on occasion, but this definitely isn't it.

  • @dcamaggots True that. I have the uncut/uncensored Dutch PAL VHS version of this movie. It's down right zany. Anyways I think I'm getting a soft spot for Franco films I mean he isn't as ridiculous as N.G.M. Now that guy knows how to make a bad movie.

  • @hchristos

Franco's WIP stuff tends to work (specifically the Dietrichs), as does LOVE LETTERS, BLOODY MOON, some of the Clifford Browns, a handful of his Sixties stuff, FACELESS, and one or two of his cheapie 80s action movies.

He can make good movies when he wants to and he's an interesting character, but he's also made far too much deadening crap that one has to tread carefully with Franco.

Anything made post-FACELESS isn't even worth a second glance, especially his post-2000 films.

  • @dcamaggots Bloody Moon is fucking sick and I love Tropical Inferno that stuff is amazing.

  • @hchristos

For all its (many) flaws, BLOODY MOON has a Mickey Mouse-masked killer, and of course, there's the 'Shake It, Baby' song at the start. Got to give it some credit for that.

Which version of Tropical Inferno is it that you have? I've never seen both versions, but have heard about it.

  • @dcamaggots Tropical Inferno Cell Block 9 starring Howard Vernon as Dr. Milton. Released in 1977 I just bought the Swedish PAL tape on VHS the other day. It's uncut and uncensored English release. Excellent sleaze.

  • @hchristos

I was thinking of another Tropical Inferno, which is Furia En El Tropico (1986). Cell Block 9 I've seen, and it's possibly the best of the Franco WIP movies I've seen so far. I didn't know Cell Block 9 had the Tropical Inferno title.

  • @dcamaggots Yes sir it is. Super rare too to find and English Language tape of it as well. Fully uncut footage and completely uncensored somebody sold me that tape from Sweden the cover of the tape is ridiculious too. Just three naked chick on it I was like hot dog I'm buying this.

  • @hchristos

Shame about the dodgy dubbing on the English-language edition - especially on Howard Vernon's character. But he is at his absolute slimiest in that movie.

  • BEEP

  • ouch...

  • shit... i looked at the tags only to realize i have this movie and have yet to watch it lmao!!! fucking jess franco.

  • Haha, good stuff! The guy dubbing Antonio Mayans makes it worth watching (and the rampant nudity, naturally).

  • i'll have to watch it :)

  • lol that guy dubbin sounds like he should be in family guy, "im sowy peeter"

  • "I've seen some THINGS, man! And some STUFF! I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND IT!"

  • Man, I love the Stallone impersonation this guy does

  • Was this shot on video? Such a strange-looking image with a dated sound...:)
