Nice Video That You Share , So Very Nice Thanks You conceptualized, of which the pulsed detonation engine (PDE) has seen the most extensive development.
I Really Like The Video From Your Several types of engines that utilize detonation waves have been conceptualized, of which the pulsed detonation engine (PDE) has seen the most extensive development.
Have you ever tried nozzling the exhaust so it could burn longer, or would that not be feasible due to the forces involved? Also how many liters or units of the gas did you use each time? How much thrust do these give off and which was the best so far?
@Pimpmastahanhduece With exhaust like this, I'm pretty sure it would be better to connect it to a turbine and electrical power generator and then figure out how to make everything quiet.
@Ecurrie84 PDEs have been theorized for at least 70 years, and ways to use detonation for useful purposes have been considered for over 100. All kinds of fuels can be used, including hydrogen, methane, kerosene, etc.
@emb8 Thanks for your reply, why is it do you think that PDE's are only coming about today but they have been around for over 50 years and why is it do you think that the fuel sources they are talking about like methane is only being considered now?
@emb8 To my knowledge the US have gone with a hydrogen slushy for better fuel stabilization. Under code name aurora, witch is blanket code name for all extreme propulsion experimental craft including the TR-B series 1 threw to classifided..

can fuels be mixed or will that create a serious hazard?

em8, how long to your knowledge have PDE's been theorized for?
one last thing is, what fuel will be used for these engines?
liquid methane?
