  • saw photos of this before, didn't realise it was in Australia. Totally impressed with what they've acheived for such little money. I just love how they have zero bills to pay.

  • 3:26 song is it ladytron?

  • too many steps. After 10 years of up and down you get tired

  • @tromboista totally agree, it should be easier to access.

  • @tromboista They should have made a slide xD

  • that's really amazing! and...it's a nice house. when you think 'underground' you think dark and low ceilings etc. Not this house.

  • i meant "negates"

  • At first, when i saw the construction & heard concrete, i thought it was very expensive, which i feel nagates the idea of living off the grid but 100,000 isn't bad compared to modern homes. i became interested in this & got books fom the library. Here in the U.S. some built their homes underground for less than 50,000 & in one year. i love the idea that its always cool underground, never freezing or too hot. People think im nuts bc i dont run the heat in winter, we wear sweaters in the home!

  • It's refreshing to see an underground house story that doesn't contain any hippies.

  • Hi elizar you can contact us at:- keirstieb@gmail.com

  • Has anybody got an email contact for Troy Keirstie? We are embarking on an underground build ourselves and it would be great to communicate with them.
