Saw Heart open for Def Leppard last night at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. After hearing Ann sing, all I can say is...I would do her in a second. She just exuded this confidence and sheer power the entire time she was on stage...and this is coming from a 21 year old who was never around back in the day!

The ability to act/sing is accompanied by appearance. Wrong? Possibly. Unfair? Possibly. Reality...yes. Ann is amazing and I love her voice. But in the entertainment business there is so much to consider. The harsh reality is that if she had maintained her sister's body she would have been far more popular.

Heart's Brigade tour stopped in Lexington, Ky and truly rocked Rupp Arena that night.. The sound system, then aka Bid Bertha, rattled in the rafters. When the show first started there was the usual thunderous applause but NONE like the applause that greeted Ann when the lights completely came up and everyone could see her.

Ive heard many different versions of this song and only Floor Jansen can hit these notes that only Ann Wilson can hit with power. I suggest anyone who loves this song should listen too Floor Jansens version of this. The song is dropped in tune though and much slower.

I actually think she could sing it a little better if she kept it in the original key (which is a better key for the song anyway). Her top notes would be a little more solid and she'd be the first (IMO) to give Ann a run for her money.

I agree with all TeaTrick said. Easily, this is one of the best power ballads in rock history. IMO this ballad equals that of Journey's Faithfully. Both have brilliant lyrics, both use a superb use of the piano, both possess great chords and both start off soft, & then lead to rock on hard as the lead sings with more emotion, the guitar wails harder and the drums beat on. You can't beat these two songs. Its no wonder these two bands toured together this past year. Hope they do it next year.

A big Heartfelt thankyou to semielassal for this video. The studio version is arguably one of the best instrumental and vocal recordings in rock history but the MTV video is so Heartbreaking. It's so wonderful to see Ann and Nancy sing this as themselves. And as spectacular as Ann is on this and the studio version, it is Nancy's fabulous harmony that completes this timeless classic. To see the sisters do this live is such a joy. They are truly a gift from god.
