most beautiful place in the world, civillization spanding back 2000 years ago, and by civillization i dont mean people crowding around a fire shouting for rain, I mean...governement, finiance, culture, art, marketting, warefare, engineering...the most advanced people of all time, from SPQR to rennasiance, to the catholism, that city is the only place in the world to achieve international domination 3 times over!!!
Pope John Paul II - mysticaly slept in April 2005, just like Lazarus -, present Pope Benedict XVI, and "the Little Pebble" i.e. Pope Little Peter Abraham II.
I want to thank you for this video, i don't know if it was the beautiful music or seeing once again my city, which I miss a lot, that cheered me up after a sad day =). Thank you.
drewandco: beautiful!!! and you're fun, too :) Love Pie Jesu...a perfect musical choice.
kidcalabria: you said " the whole history & destiny of humanity is represented there... " Nicely said. It's pretty awesome, no?
thefaceof tom: just saw 2 smartcars here in SW Ohio in the past week. Almost scary small for the other kinds of cars on the roads in this country...but bet they get great mileage!
It's called "Cappella Sistina", Sistine Chapel in English. Despite the huge number of visitors & very long queues, it's well-run, and you can see the whole Vatican Museums which have amazing works of art. But many tourists stop in the Chapel, which is consacrated ground, just to take pictures & have picnics, leaving rubbish & half-eaten sandwiches everywhere. People hardly appreciate Michelangelo's work, neither they understand that the whole history & destiny of humanity is represented there...
Excellent footage, beautiful photos with lovely captions. Visited Rome in 2005, tossed a coin in the Trevi Fountain and hope to return in a few months.
WOW! I have a Vatican video on here and yours is FAR better - great shots and you held the camera still and LONG enough on the artwork - I was being shuffled around to fast - great music!!!! Great job!!
Very good video, very nicely filmed and shot. I been there my self, and was very lucky to see the Pope going back to St Peter's Basilica. Check out my video on my page to see them.
what a beautiful music.

Please, note: Sistine Chapel. It was built by and named after the pope Sixtus IV in 1473.

Please, note: Sistine Chapel. 'Sistine' from the Pope Sixtus IV (1471-1484) that built it.
The first part of music is the "Pie Jesu" from 'Requiem' of Andrew Lloyd Webber.
I do not know (yet) the music of the following "Ave Maria".
