  • dig that music at the start

  • @IvanKesja It's because the guy/guys who invented it realized "Hey, we can charge people if they want to use this pattern." So they put a patent on it. Pretty scoundrelish if you ask me.

  • Nutnfancy we need some more SpecOps reviews, even just a simple 10 minute review on a dump pouch or X6 Ar 15 would be nice or there M.O.U.R chest rig. They're having a nice blow out sale at the moment, the M.O.U.R is normally $120 and is only $20 at the moment.

  • nutn' whats youre opinions of the army issue flc ?

  • How would this vest hold up under wear and tear of an extended Combat operation?

  • On the subject of that breast plate pouch - It'd make a great accessory/map pouch too!

  • How do you like multicam Nutn?

  • plan on ordering one soon. hope the mini 14 mags will fit as well.

  • Comment removed

  • nutnfancy is he a pilot?

  • @lwl0296 yes

  • @744682532 And thats one of the many reasons we test our gear alot before trusting our life to it.

  • clips on the shoulder's - once you get a pack on thats shits gona dig in. This bloke didn't have any hydration on it.( although there is room on the back ) Ripper on the Front ? - takes away space from extra pouches. have clips on the side. And heat issues ? LOL it goes over plate armour so breatablitly and heat isnt even a condideration.

  • @Last1Left2324 I was wondering the same thing.

  • Awesome review. Thanks man. I'm currently working in Iraq and looking for a new rig since the issued ones suck! Your review helped me in making my decision. Thanks again and keep up the good work!

  • I'm going to agree with killerbeekiller and say that anything you make would be great. And if you ever have the opportunity please make us AK guys a pouch that holds 3 mags. I'm begging you please design your own vest with maxpedition or eagle or even condor.

  • You the man. Thanks for yer education on gear. Yer sister rules too. Love your low buck approach to us broke and struggle types. Always make time to see the reviews.

  • hey nutn.... I am a working on getting my firearms instructors license through the nra and was wondering were you got some of your training cause it looks to be good stuff

  • i still dont think haveing a "tatical" vest is usfull for sport shooting but maby law inforcement....

  • If you do want a belt, i would recommend either HSGI or Blueforce Gear setups. Very good suspenders and belts from both.

  • nutn, you obviously know what you like and apparently talk to those using them in the field. You should design your own. Im sure there is are several companies out there that would work with you.

  • SPEC OPS (BRAND) IS AWESOME

I have the Riggers belt and it saved me from a possibly lethal wound from shrapnel fragment from a IED (ROAD SIDE BOMB) and a year plus later i'm still using it and if you do manage to destroy their product they usually replace it ... hooah

  • Nice videos man. I got this vest for my dcu otv when we got the acu's initially before we got the new acu otv's but now i love it for just shooting. Keep up the realistic and informative reviews and videos!

  • For those of you who are saying you would want your vest to carry armor and are complaining that this one doesn't. That is because it was never designed to, hence the name OVER ARMOR.

To Mr. Fancy: I totally understand your review and you do make the point that it is an over armor vest, but you still refer to "improvements" to the contrary. Unless I am mistaken, all of the suggested improvements you want are for a "stand alone" molle system which this was designed NOT to be.

    Just say'n... ;-)

  • That was a nice course you set yourself up. I never saw the need for a fully-automatic weapon, unless you're in the military or police force, of course. But I'm guessing you've been in or are still serving??

  • Just a suggestion!

I served in the Israeli army, and we had vestets which were with velcroed pouches to put a fitted sponge at the lower stomach area, which will take the vest away from your body (good for prone), and will add rigidity.

For the rest of the vest it was sewed with some really tough Cordora (which wasn't really comfortable!) but was very durable, it takes alot of intensive hard training to make them fail.

  • im sorry but whats the point of these over-armor things?

i really dont see the point seeing as flak jackets come with all the loadable hooks anyway......

  • @hahayourreadingthis I really think this would be usefull with cops, they always have their body armor on, and if they need more firepower, they just put this on over it.

  • what i meant was having the vest he reviews to have armor, along with the plates...just to be safe. u are very right though

  • i dunno about u guys, but if shit hits the fan against the 7.62 rounds, i would want my vest to carry some light armor too.

  • you could always go back and punch some holes in that corrugated plastic in the summer, if it's too hot. I definitely agree that they overlooked that feature. common sense tells you that if you put a large amount of weight in one place, like a pistol, that the material would tend to sag and be pretty uncomfortable. nice modification though.

  • Yes, he is.

Moreover, he's not A military, he's THE military... or something like that :)

    USAF broham!

  • @jake262144

    USAF all the way!

  • @jake262144

lol. I like this guys reviews as much as anyone but he sure as hell doesn't get to use any of this stuff in the air force, aka chair force.

  • yea you def could. the af still has inf based units.

  • i want one of those for airsoft. :)

  • @744682532 ur fucking retarded. The military contractors in the U.S., that win contracts, are the lowest bidders. Equalls cheap gear.

  • Nutnfancy, you are effing intense. I love your reviews, but damn dude. A little paranoid, are we?

  • Paranoid? Seriously are there still people out there who arnt paying attention to whats happening in this country?

  • @souljah11b just ignore them.....they'll die eventually.....the masses always do

  • hes just using his rights, nothing wrong about that :D

  • I used a spec ops sling on my m-16 in Afghanistan

  • OOOOOOOOOOOOOH Fuhzah! I saw this in the featured section :D Another for your cap Mr. Nutn.

It makes me glad youtube isn't 100% focused on smartasses commenting on popular culture. Shane Dawson you suck. Onision you really suck...pacifist vegan smug creep suck.

  • Nutnfancy I've got to give you 2 thumbs up. I've been watching a lot of reviewers on youtube over the past two years and I have to say you are by far the best. No one I've seen is at your quality level. Good on ya.

  • appreciate the reviews!

  • 5/5

  • good review!

  • please pardon my ignorance but why do some projectile weapons have their caliber stated as a measurement in mm? e.g. 9mm

and others just have .45 caliber?

how can you get a caliber from the size of the bullet?

my deffinition of caliber may not be as accurate as i thought so please help me out if you can.

  • The running joke among calibers is that there are no consistent rules for naming them.

The long and short of it is that "caliber" (when referring to ammo) is generally the diameter of the bullet (the projectile being fired, not the casing) at it's widest point. The reason it's different is because the US uses customary units while everyone else uses metric units. So if you see it displayed in inches (.50 caliber = .5 inches), it's probably a round that originated in the US.

  • Another thing is that they can be the same "caliber", but not the same cartridge. For example, a 10mm Auto and a .40 Smith and Wesson are both the same caliber (in different units of measurement), and even use the same bullets. However, the 10mm casing is significantly longer and as such they are not interchangeable. Also, some calibers don't match their name, or have different names but the same diameter. For example, the 5.56x45mm NATO round and the 5.7x28 FN both use 5.7mm projectiles.

  • @Otacon237 thanks alot dude, sorry its a bit late, i was traveling

  • No prob.

  • The height restriction I believe is for Navy pilots.

  • "suck less," should be a t-shirt

  • I've made stickers

  • Heh heh, so did I :)

Really simple ones though, I'll try to add some cool graphics in the background... if I'm satisfied with the end result, I'll put a vid and a link on my channel page.

  • For the bit about the front plastic piece for the pistol, that's what sapi plates are for.

  • Great review, thanks Nutn!

  • thanks nutnfancy for reviewing this vest. i wore it when deployed to afghanistan and it worked great. many people had never heard of this vest.

  • yes come on this man's video that he has taken the time to make and post, and flame him...who's the loser?

  • I've been in the military, and nutnfancy knows more about tactical gear than I do.

  • You're right. I'm just trying to make the point that you can't judge someone's tactical knowledge by whether or not they were in the military.

  • @Vollrath's first

I'm not sure WHICH loser you are referring to but feel inclined to agree if you're talking about the Vollrath1114 douche. You're right bro, what a sad, pathetic, inbred failure he is! And a fake as well. *High five*

  • For someone as quick to offense as you are, you're extremely fast in taking offense... does not bode you well, my friend.

This is a friendly and peaceful channel bro but if you're into flaming, you'll get scorched fast.

You might even become lion food =D

  • Buddy you got a short fuse, and I lit it!

  • Hey dude, I have no beef with you, no ill will on my side. Let's cut this crap and retry, shall we? Just watch your flaming bro.

    Have a nice day.

  • Bro! Don't you think I'd look kinda awkward at MINUS 155 lbs dude? :)

You'll stop flaming permanently when The Lioness gets her paws on you... it'll be moar liek "Squeal boy, squeal!" :>

  • I said MINUS 155, -155, NEGATIVE 155.

    Never learned to read, huh?

  • *mimicking Christopher Lee as Saruman in LOTR*

I gave you the chance if shutting up willingly... but you have elected the way of PAIN!

I'm not wasting my time on a lousy troll, tried to give you a chance here dude, I really did.

Make a good use of your remaining time here, you don't have a lot of it.

  • LOL :)

You've got me quandry now; I'm not sure whether I should laugh at your inept trolling (sorry, you must do a lot better to actually annoy me than post your illiterate retardese bullcrap) or weep at your twisted and mutilated definition of CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM :)

    I'm done here.

  • Vollrath1114- Quietly consume excrement and cease to exist please. Blocked. -- Veri

  • LION FOOD!

    =)

  • @nutnfancy

excellent word choice, lol. by the way, love your videos!

  • @nutnfancy wow... harsh... I LIKE IT!>.>

  • @nutnfancy hey nutnfancy, long time viewer first time commenter. is the spec ops OAV meant as a replacement for the standard issue FLC or as a supplement to it? would i be good running this over an IOTV without the FLC?

  • @nutnfancy Just a heads up, this vest is currently on sale on the spec ops website for $80.

  • your a real jerk constructive critisism is one thing continually calling someone fat boy isn't constructive critisism. i don't know if it makes you feel good bashing on other people lik that but if it does your real messed up

  • @Vollrath1114 Shut up thank you ;)

  • @lvcsslacker Why are you speaking then?

  • Great review, I need to get a tac vest for some run'n'gun action.

  • great looking AK i just dig easten block systems, usually unmodified but that looked great.

  • Hey Nutn' what is the tan fleece your wearing in the vid? I've been looking at the T.A.D gear band but their pricing is pretty steep! Love to hear back from you on this one. Once again, thanks for the awesome reviews. Keep up the great work.

  • That's a cool question. I knew they could be at least 6'4", cause Dad was 6'4". The cut off is 6'5" apparently. Who knew? =) - Veri

  • @nutnfancy halo i respect your work, you act so professional like you worked 15 years on television.....we watch you all over the world (i am from serbia) so you done a great job.....in this video,i didn't understand one thing.....you say that this vest isn't breathable.....but before that you said that this vest is meant to be worn over ballistic vest, and ballistic vest sorely isn't breathable,so what would be the point of making breathable vest that you would were over something that isn't?

  • Nice review. Very thorough, as always.

  • Damned right, buy American,,, or Canadian.

Cool vest, but I'm already rigged up.

  • HAHAHAH... how FAT you are... I loved. that... being I'm also 6'3... but 275... so I'm on the HUSKY side... LMAO.... ROCK ON.

  • Hey does anyone know a website where i can find out the year my gun was made. i.e. putting in the serial number?

    Thanks

  • @PNGA324 It usually depends in the manufacturer. Most of them have a way of searching that info through their webstes. Ruger has a great one on their site as well as Taurus for example.

  • Comment removed

  • @smallzphoto Colt wants to charge me $75 to run the serial number. but hey thanks for the information.

  • brit fan here tnx 4 thinking of us lol good vid m8

  • Made in the U. S. OF A!.... by robots.

  • LOL

  • robots from japan lol

  • nice .... thx for sharing .

  • Awesome! Keep on keepin' on Nutin'. We are listening loud and clear eyes snapped open.

  • Looking back at the 5.11 tac vest review; this vest looks almost as good as the 5.11 vest at twice the price.

  • I like the nutnfancy ideas for changes, but would like to have seen the pistol attached lower left and pistol magazines upper left which is more standard. More viewers could relate to the setup. For an over armour vest, waterproofing is desirable, and the armor adds the heat and discomfort more than anything else.

I agree the price is too high.

  • nicee............

  • totaly awsome Nutn! love these vids!!!

  • Great review as always, seems like a decent vest, definitely a different POU as it's merely a pullover. But honestly, for that price I'm surprised you didn't knock it more in the affordability area. Especially cause it's quite flimsy throughout and just a vest, not even a crossdraw w/ attachments already in the price. You still have to pay for all the MOLLE you need to attach to it. Not the best option by any means, but at least something new. Thanks!

  • Great call on the corrugated plastic

  • Great vid!

  • great vest

  • lol interesting music as always

  • I love that pistol rig with the coreplast (white plastic) I agree the vest should have more pockets on the interior so you can add armor, plates, etc. to add rigidity to the system. great vid, thanks Nutnfancy.

  • haha, did he just say "high stress"?

  • You should totally test the Diamondback Tactical FAPC next...

    GREAT vid Nutn.

  • wooo dem some espensive armor! lol thats a lot for a vest looked cool though

  • A vest for that kind of money that you need to modify to suit your needs(although very clever)? I usually agree with you NutnFancy, but not this time. I think that the 5.11 LBE vest for half the money would be a better option, would also leave some coin to get some quality pouches. Any way thanks for the vid and look foward to the next.Keep on doin' what your doin'.

  • @mikenew403 Absolutely agree.

  • Nutn, usually i agree with a lot of what you say but i have to completely disagree with this review. Expensive for a simple vest that does not have many features. I think better options would be SO Tech, Eagle, or Mayflower rigs. But as long as your gear meets your needs, thats all that matters.

  • UK FANS!!!! WOO

  • 5/5

  • Good -N-fast review for the most part. WTG

  • Dude freaking $200 for a vest???

NTF, you must make bank dude. No way I can afford anything like that...or probably 90% of the stuff you review (all super expensive).

  • a lot of the price comes from them using the multi-cam material. haven't checked but od, tan, or black will most likely be less.

  • $170 + shipping, so still $200. Insane. There is literally no reason for that high of a price.

  • ha, guess i shoulda watched the whole video before commenting...

  • Nah...I went to their site and checked. No worries. Pretty much almost everything NTF reviews is over priced...not saying it isn't nice stuff...just hugely over priced. Normally you can get the stuff for cheaper and equal or marginally close quality.

  • as far as rigs are concerned nutn's reviewed th 5.11 vest, the tac-force vest, one of the black hawk rigs, an early version of the condor vest, and now this one. all those are actually really affordable I own both a tac-force and a 5.11 chest rig and don't have $80 into the 2 combined. you just have to know where to look.

  • Thanks for the vid Nutn!

  • Yeah but it it TACTIKOOL. Next up, a review of the 5.11 Tactical Flip Flops.

  • Tapco Intrafuse furniture on the AK?

  • That is right beeatch STAY SKEERED. lol.

    The queen can suck it.

  • ZOMG, Rokuth thou rockest!

  • Suck less. I love it.

  • i am liking that ak now with that scope

  • Sweet vest, thanks for the review Nutn

  • i only run plats

  • I like it...

  • Thanks for another great review!

  • Another great vid! Keep them coming.

  • watz 1000 dinnier? Sounds like weave.

  • Whoa! Valid point.

There was a case when a LE officer had a ND when something snagged on his glock's trigger while he was deploying the firearm.

  • msar stg-556 is the best civilian rifle.

    good job microtech

  • @goliathheron sure if you can afford it

  • In the first scenes are you running with the sound trap slim lines and if so how do you like them.......?

  • "how do you like your M&P 9" Love it! Much trigger time on it so far and you will see an update. Thanks dudes.

  • hey nutnfancy which do you like betterthe xd or the m&p I am getting the xd in 45 acp i choose it because it holsd more round and like the feel i have bigger hands . also what would you suggest for for an AR15 it looks like i cant get one

M4 type for under 1050.00 in my area they have the full length m16 type full length.

  • @DanielWillis1982 dude just some friendly advice. its way cheaper to peice an ar15 together and you will get exactly what YOU want and like. and if you are nervous about putting a firearm together there are plenty of gunsmiths around everywhere and usually if you shop around you can find a dude to put it together for you cheap. i have 750 into my ar15 now and im still adding and changing things on it.

  • thanks will look into that I think i just need to wait a few weeks we have a gun show coming up there was a guy there that had ar's you picked the lower and upper depending on what you wanted rails and such i think he may have been under 1000.00. impact has a bushmaster for 900.00

  • DPMS flat tops are $750 from classic arms.

  • will it fit without without armor under it?

  • Armour XD Colour !

  • Great Video just amazing

  • if your wearing it over armor it doesnt matter if its breathable.

  • If you want to support TNP, click the AD's.

  • Awesome song!

  • Great winter vest option. I think you were on the money on the recommended mods.

Thanks Nutnfancy. Really enjoy your work, keep 'em coming.

  • Yay for armour! :D

  • Nice vid. I learned alot :)

  • Another vest option! Which one do I choose?!

  • Awesome Nutn, I was looking forward to you doing a review on this. i was lovin it in the "Breaking Contact" vids, which btw are just great. you're doing everything right man, Keep it up! I'll be following you through the way.

  • whats the retail of the vest?

  • nice vest. I like the chest rigs myself for magazine carry but a vest could be VERY useful if it had camelback option. great review sir.

  • Spec-Ops is good, i have a bit of gear from them but ive always preferred the 5.11 gear, ive never been dissatisfied with 5.11
