I also know that later on durin the war the requirements were dropped down due to man shortages.
That's a common misconception. It didn't matter what color your hair or eyes were. However in the early years you did have to be atleast 5'10" I believe, and if you were an enlisted man you had to trace your family back to the 1800's, and if you were an officer all the way back to the 1700's. It is a preference. They are wearing enlisted man peaked caps and do not have officer cords on their caps. The man in the center has an eagle on the side of his cap that is raised meaning it is embroidered, meaning his hat is of higher quality than an enlisted man's, meaning he's an officer. If the men on the sides had a silver cord on the visor then they would be officers.

He was the most noble, strong and proud man I have ever had the honor to know.
After the war he bugge the hell out of europe and came to Canada with forged papers, so our family could have a life.
He has since passed away, I miss him very much.

The SS didn't kill the Jews serving in the Wehrmacht or any of the 5 Wehrmacht Jewish generals... so it can be questioned whether or not they would have killed arab semites or blacks.
Maybe they would: in retribution for crimes committed against pagans from the biblical religions (which were written mostly by semites & blacks) or the attempted muslim conquest of europe.

Thats true. Most SS soldiers were to busy fighting the enemy in the frontlines to know what was going on back at home. All that war crimes against the jews were commited by high ranking officials in the nazi party and the low ranking soldiers that were guards. Had no choice but to follow order or die I guess. So for all those who want to blame someone for the crimes against the jews. Blame Himmler and the rest of high ranking SS guys.

No, there was the Allgemeine SS, and the Waffen SS. The A-SS were the Police like units that protected Hitler with black uniforms. The Waffen SS were the soldiers of the SS. For the most part they weren't a team of the Wehrmacht, they were their own, under their own leadership.

It's not a black uniform, he's wearing the standard Feldgrau uniform, it's only a dark photo. The Panzer men wore totally different designed uniforms, Google panzer uniform, and look at the difference. He might be a Sturm Pioneer. I've never seen combat men wearing an arm band either. . . and not every soldier was Panzer related, infact most weren't.

The photo cuts off the part of their arms where an armband would be. They most likely have the armband of an SS division. Almost every division of the SS had an armband, but some soldiers didn't have it, some did.

perhaps you cold answr another question I have about that photo, the guy in the centre is of higher rank than the other two, but the other two are wearing peaked caps and he's wearing a ski cap. Why? Is it down to preferance if your an officer?

It is a preference. They are wearing enlisted man peaked caps and do not have officer cords on their caps. The man in the center has an eagle on the side of his cap that is raised meaning it is embroidered, meaning his hat is of higher quality than an enlisted man's, meaning he's an officer. If the men on the sides had a silver cord on the visor then they would be officers.
