These kind of journalists are long gone, unfortunately. I wish it were otherwise - modern news services are largely a joke, connected to big business as they are.
wow. he's certainly old school. didn't know much about this guy until I saw this vid, but to hear that he stuck his neck out for the "children of thalidomide" certainly gained my respect. we need more of these kinds of journalists.

News services being dislocated is one problem. Their lack of independance, from economic and political control is another, and ultimately far worse.
