Remember that this was BEFORE all the rave reviews and audience reaction and stuff. He probably thought no-one liked him - he was going to do his 3 movies he'd been paid for then bugger off.

But - I'm sure they'll keep a hold of him for at least 2 more. It would have been more if MGM's financial woes hadn't delayed filming by a couple of years.

He's too good a Bond not to get more movies - and the next guy has a massive act to follow.

Watch his interviews with UK or Aussie interviewers and he's fine, very interesting and funny. Get a clue - say his name right and ask some interesting questions and American interviewers may get a better result. He is human - and he's also a very private and shy man. I've read some comments. It seems everybody is in love with Craig. I admit he is great actor playing good roles, but he does what he's expected to do. He wasn't a man who created a plot of the film. It's not his invention. If Brosnan were James Bond in "Casino Royale", at least it wouldn't be worse.

The poor guy was humiliated and made fun of when they announced him as the next Bond, but he kept his chin up and did a terrific job acting-wise.
