Is it SOP to have the dogs down when you stop or is that just something you do as a trainer? I was always taught that they were to sit instead. Any particular advantage or is this just your way of doing things?

its more difficult to have them drop and the mechanics are better if you teach them to drop without sitting first,plus everyone that brings dogs here say'''oh he already knows how to sit '' so we don't work on that ; ]
