  • easy rwd conversion, buy vr4, take out front shaft.... easy rwd

  • @lilslugger321 not that easy

  • How much do u think it will run me to convert my stealth from fwd to rwd

  • the cheep version of the 3000gt

  • @spookys69 It's the same exact car, and were the same price. Any other smart comments?

  • @brapboys503 hahahahaha you made ma day with that comment hahaha

  • @samyfernandez Just had to shut up the clueless child.

  • i thought they were fwd

  • @davybabyson They are, I think the people who own the car just altered the transmission.

  • i have a 91 es with 25k miles. nice

  • Bad ass, I wish I had kept mine and converted it to RWD. I had the plans to do it, too, but it got stolen and scrapped.

  • if you cant have awd might as well have rwd

  • Nice Stealth burnout. I have an ES too, but the auto 4-speed trans is going out. I've learned that it's the same transmission code as an auto Eclipse GS-T/fwd turbo, but I would much rather convert it to correct wheel drive than keep it fwd. What transmission did you use? The Mighty Max trans? Is the engine still transverse or did you have to turn it around in the bay to fit? This is pretty cool.

  • How about upgrading the Dodge Stealth to a Dodge Viper engine?

  • @Sharptooth100 late reply, but i dont think and 8.0L V10 would fit too well, hope your kidding. Not a bad idea if you can get it to work though, lol

  • that shit is nasty... you can switch from RWD to AWD to FWD?!?!

  • how?

  • That was sweet!

  • so how did you do the conversion? taking out the half shafts for the front end?

  • lol glad you cleared that up shooter. (the fact that ALL ES's came with the DOHC that is). if you still dont believe it, google it....thats how i figured it out a while back. only base models were the SOHC's....and in '94, the ES model was dropped so the only N/A DOHC was the R/T non turbo. then u had your R/T TT and your base model with the SOHC

  • ALL (EVERY SINGLE) ES came with aluminum 16" wheels, DOHC (DOHC is etched on the side windows), and have foglights. all of them..

people confuse the two (Base & ES) because that share the same body styling.

what you have is a base. because again, there is no such thing as an ES from the factory with SOHC engine.

this is like you telling me that some 3000GT VR-4's were non turbo.

  • easy to convert to rwd, just remove your front diff

  • not that easy, you have to weld the center diff solid. and i left my front diff in, so i can change from RWD back to 4WD in 20 mins. if i want o go FWD i can do that even quicker.

  • why do you weld the center diff?

  • the ES model has the SOHC engine... only the R/T and the R/T TT has the DOHC

  • wrong

  • @shooter83 some es's had the sohc some had dohc so mikerz10 sorry about your luck

  • @ProjectNismo240sx Wrong, once again, all ES's ARE DOHC. ONLY Stealth BASE'S were SOHC. do your research before commenting.

  • @ProjectNismo240sx ok then smart one tell me why i have an es with a dohc? btw to be honest thts pretty sweet rwd stealth howd you do tht again?

  • does your car say DOHC 24V on the rear windows? does it have factory fog lights and the switch on the dash? because it's probably an ES that somebody removed the "ES" from the rear bumper, or the rear bumper was replaced and the ES sticker was never put back. if it dosen't say DOHC 24V or have the factory fog lights and switch, then it could be a base that somebody swapped the DOHC engine in at some point in the cars life. i'm not trying to be a dick, but i know a great deal about these cars.

  • @ProjectNismo240sx if you still don't believe me, like i said do some research. sign up on Florida3S or 3SI and ask them. or just do a simple search on the net, by googleing "dodge stealth es" i'll post the results next

  • @ProjectNismo240sx from how stuff works (first search result): "Four Stealth models were offered, each with a driver-side airbag and transverse 3.0-liter V6 engine. Base, ES, and R/T models were front drive. A 164-horsepower engine went into the base Stealth, while the ES and R/T got a dual overhead-cam variant that put out 222 horses. Top dog was the R/T Turbo, breathing through a pair of intercooled turbochargers for 300 horsepower. That one also got engaged 4-wheel drive and 4-wheel steering"

  • @ProjectNismo240sx edmunds: "The Dodge Stealth ran from 1991-'96 and initially came in four trim levels: base, ES, R/T and R/T Twin Turbo. Base versions were powered by a 3.0-liter V6 with 164 hp and 185 pound-feet of torque. The ES and R/T stepped up to the plate with a 24-valve DOHC version with 222 hp and 201 lb-ft of torque. The R/T Twin Turbo boasted 300 hp and 307 lb-ft."

  • @ProjectNismo240sx do you think its possible my es is a codec car cause it has the sohc

  • @ProjectNismo240sx you just said above your car had the DOHC. what is a codec car?

  • @shooter83 ok then smart one tell me why i have a base with a dohc? btw sweet rwd stealth howd you do that again?

  • dude i seen a red dodge stealth es and it has a DOHC 24 valve engine

  • HAH! good deal. RWD.. crazy! Time for the TT/DOHC conversion.

  • all ES's are DOHC, only base stealths are SOHC.

i did a TT swap back in 2003, and AWD conversion last year. look at my other vids.

  • Hah, no shit.. I learned something today, I always thought all ES's were SOHC. NIce! you on 3si?

  • you are actualy off a little te es was a sohc with the option for the dohc i have seen the stealth es both with sohc and dohc

  • unforgivenreality,

    No you have not.

  • is there a website or other place where i can find some information on this swap? i realize its alot of fabrication, im just looking to get an idea of what is involved

  • look put drifting cuirit!!!!!!!!! diamond on the map lol!

  • damn man how did you convert it to RWD?

  • i've had a project in mind of doing a RWD es......but i wasnt sure if itd be worth the time and money. did u have to make room for the driveshaft? or was there already enough since the stealth TT came AWD? same floorplan right? (it was only an idea in my head and i never really put a lot of thought into it)

  • nice...3S's look nice doing burnouts
