From what I gather, most fans would have your head on a platter for making such comparisons ;-)

This music really isn't for everybody, and imo they weren't at the top of their game in this performance (The Band's name is 'Within Temptation').

They do have a few ballads, and you may find these interesting: 'Our Farewell', 'Restless', 'Forgiven', 'Never-ending Story', 'Pale', 'Somewhere' and 'The Swan Song'. 'Memories' is a little heavier, but is also very nice.

I first heard their 'Mother Earth' album, which I didn't really care for, mainly because I thought that the music was all over the place, and then a friend of mine wanted me to check out their 'Silent Force' album, which is a lot more focused, and I fell in love with the song 'Jillian'. Personally I think the band does a better job playing than she does as a singer but I really like listenning to her calling out for Jillian's lost soul, backed with a choir of 80 angry Russians
