@Parabueto Thanks - my first two jumps were on round canopies(can't remember the name) not even the conical ones and they had a very fast sink rate - landed straight on my derriere first time and learnt after that the importance of the PLF :)
Yes, I did a second jump the next day and managed to get up there last week exactly 6 months after this and get another three done- Still not very good but improving a bit. Hoping to jump soon again.
Reminds me of my first jumps back in '88 on round canopies - we spent hours doing PLFs and were suitably bruised ready for our first exits.
I take it they no longer teach PLFs?

@jagara1 they still teach PLFs a lot- get taught to plf if the landing looks like its going to be rough or if we flare early.
I always tried to run it off but ended up slipping and sliding along on my backside more often than not...
