  • you know amla is not the same like henna? omg i'm confused. amla is something else!

  • i have a question i am so confuse, on this video you mixed the amla with the water and then you said to mix it in the henna, 15 minutes prior to use it on the hair, then, on the henna mix video you only put the amla powder without mixing it with water, and you just put it on the henna without using with water so what is the proper way to do it so I could get a brown color?

  • If you use Amla by itself is there any color change? Also, I wonder if I could mix it with oil instead of water as a deep conditioner? Any advice would be very appreciated since I'm new to Henna, Amla and the like and trying to become familiar with what does what.

  • @Poorstargazer23 amla does not color the hair. I've never used amla with oil as a deep conditioner. There is an amla oil on the market so I suppose that would work well. Give it a try and let me know.

  • Can I use it weekly along with brahmi powder?

  • How long should I leave this in my hair/on my skin? Could it be mixed with cassia?

  • Thank you :)

  • Hello :),

Can I mix Amla powder with hot tea like I would do with henna or no? Thank you for your video :).

  • @MegaCocobelle I don't see why not. Mix away!

  • I love Ayurvedic products for conditioning and some daily usages. I currently have an Amla mix on my hair as a deep conditioner.

    Thanks for sharing!

    Peace and blessings always,

    Cee

  • Should this be applied on wet or dry hair?

  • @LADYmoses I apply it to wet hair, you can apply it the way that works best for you.

  • Where can you get indigo from?

  • @natrlchallenge I have indigo available.

  • thanks for all ur vids. I'm really enjoying them. How much amla would add to 100g of henna? I'll be using amla for its condtioning properties so not too worried about colour.

  • @rettrois You can add as much or as little amla as you like. I personally do not add more than25 grams, but that is what my hair needs, your hair might need more or less.

  • What's the reason for letting it sit before using it? Would you use this between shampoo and conditioner? How often do you use it? Does it colour the hair at all?

  • @nicolemaryam When I was taught to use amla, I was told to let it sit, and it works just fine that way. You could choose to not let it sit and see how it works out. I would use amla before shampoo and conditioner. You can use it as often as you like, our hair might have different needs, so what's good for my hair might not be good for yours. Once a week should be fine. Amla does not color the hair.

  • thank you for video! i want to color my hair ashy brown. I dont want a red tone and heard that if you put amla and then indigo on your hair-you will get this color. Is it true? or what would you sugest to get that color. Thanks

  • @justei55 What you've been told it true. Indigo and amla do help to cool the red tones in henna. If you are looking to get more brown than red, then add 2 parts indigo for every 1 part henna. So let's say you are using 100 grams of henna, you will want 200 grams of indigo (as example).

  • @FreeHandMehndi Thank you for reply! Can i use amla and indigo without henna? i am just worried henna will give me the redness i do not want. I want to achieve coolest brown possible...thank you :)

  • @justei55 No, you should not use indigo without henna. Indigo will dye white to medium brown hair a mossy green (it looks like mold). Indigo is not a black staining herb, it stains blue/greenish. Amla can be used alone, because it does not stain. An amla/indigo mix should not be used without henna. Indigo and amla both cool the red in henna. If you use indigo with henna, your hair will not be bright red, so don't worry.

  • @FreeHandMehndi Thank you once again for such informative reply. Ok so if I use henna and indigo in the proportions you recommended ( 1x2), how much amla I have to put to cool it down? And how long would you recommend to keep on the hair if I want light brown ashy colour. Now my hair has light golden colour. Thank you once again for your videos and reply :)

  • @justei55 You can add as much amla as you want. I keep henna on the hair for three hours, but I tell most people keep it on as long as you can stand it. For a light brown not more than an hour if you already have light color hair.

  • @FreeHandMehndi Thanks once again for answering and thanks for great videos x

  • does it have to be in an iron bowl and how many days a week

  • @ClubClanXbox It does not have to be in an iron bowl, and you can use it as often as you like. Some people use it once a week, others just once a month.

  • I heard that Indian Gooseberries prevent Premature White/Grey hairs? is this true? if so would buying simply the Alma powder mixed with water have the same effect? and where can i purchase such a product? ^_^ thank you for your time, and also how long do you wait to leave it in your hair before washing your hair in shower? >.,

  • @xXFireyRoseXx grey and white hair is genetic, amla will not prevent grey/white hairs. I mix my amla with water, do I not mix it with any other liquid. When I use alone as a conditioner, I leave it in my hair no longer than 10 minutes. When I use amla with other conditioners or henna, I leave it on longer of course. The product can be purchased on my website, link is in the bottom bar of the video.

  • @FreeHandMehndi It said on a number of sites that it will help prevent it form happening/ continuing it its premature grey. Im only 17. Wiki Answers

This and other sites have stated thats gooseberries or alma is a good home remedy to help prevent it, but ive never heard of such a product ant could i buy it in a local store somewhere? since i can not purchase items online

  • @xXFireyRoseXx Oh, then do not worry about premature grey at your age. Grey is genetic, there is not anything other than hair dye that you can put on your hair to prevent it. Amla conditions the hair, and removed build up, it does not do anything inside the hair follicle. Most Indian grocery stores have amla.

  • hi, could you tell me if indigo dies the hair permanently? thanks

  • @chloeparfum Yes it does. It penetrates the hair shaft and dyes the hair. It could lighten, but is not a color rinse that will wash out after a week or so.

  • does it stain hands?

  • @1041957mani1 No, amla does not stain the hands.

  • Hi, I notice that your amla does not have a crop date is this normal? or should we choose amla like henna with a crop date to know if it's fresh or not. thanks!

  • @mademoisellenikita I purchase amla in bulk and repackage it. My bulk packaging has a crop year of 2008. Amla is not like henna, and is not normally sold with a crop date. It is dried Indian gooseberries ground into powder.

  • Can you use Amla as a facial (mask)? Is it ok if you leave it on for several minutes?

  • @Relaxed2Natural Yes, it can be used for a facial mask. I use it once a month and it works really well on my black heads.

  • @FreeHandMehndi Thanx!! love ur vids!!

  • Hi - I found some Amla OIL while in the gulf. It has great properties for a "hot oil" treatment to use in my hair once or twice a month. I didn't know you could get it as a powder. This has even more possibilities - thank you :D

  • Is there any Henna that won't die your hair? my moms blond and she read sumthin about this Natural Henna that won't die your hair any color.

  • @alexthebluebird check out my video about cassia obovata. I believe this is what you are looking for. Cassia is often called neutral henna, but it is not henna at all. It conditions just like henna, but does not dye the hair like henna does.

  • @FreeHandMehndi Thanks!!!

  • where do you find all these neat and unique products?? I never heard of this before, keep these videos coming!! :-)

  • @StrainSop In my travels....lol I find lots of things. I have friends from all over the world who have beautiful hair and skin. All I do is ask what they do to get it, more than likely it is something that has been used in their culture for centuries.
