This is the Westwood Cemetery in West LA off the 405 Fwy, east a mile or so, just below (south of) Whilshire. A small out of the way place. I've been there several times and senn her grave and others .... Many celebrities are buried there.

Marilyn was very sad in the beginning of her life as well. No family except for a mentally ill mother who was taken away leaving Norma Jean in foster care.  It was the middle of her life that that was mystifying. I'm still not sure if she was ever really happy. Happy moments maybe.

I went there to see Marilyn. Such a quiet and serene place. THe cover to her crypt is loose, moves in as you touch it. Scared me at first , then saddened me it was in bad disarray.Hope they got it fixed.

Hugh bought Marilyn's infamous red sitting photoshoot pics and made Playboy a goldmine featuring her as the 1st centerfold. This is when Marilyn was still not a household name so in return it helped her career in a weird way. Those calendars were everywhere after that.RIP Goddess.
