  • the last one.....what..just...happened.......?

  • They're all demoniac :O

In games like this you can see that PS2 Rules...

  • :)

  • ha kommt jemand aus berlin

  • i am zeromus, the cancer, MASTER OF GRAVITY!!

  • I'm Gemini, and here it represents... *looks up on FinalFantasy.wikia* DEATH?!

  • For the first time, to me, the game play was better than the summon. I wanted to know, what is the name of the song at the very ending?

  • Gotta feel bad for those scapegoats.

  • Zodiac The Strponger and the cooles Ever!!

  • I'm a scorpio which means......-_______-

  • @BgirlSakura POISON!!!!

  • Note to self, don't try to look up ultima skirt

  • Those wolves got FUCKED UP

  • These are terrifying.

    I love it!

  • Oh boy,I played this RIGHT AFTER finishing X...and when I sought some iof the espers I thought HOLY HELL @_@

but not even ALL of them combined were as usefull as ANY summon in X,wich is a shame since ALL of them are WAY cooler then the ones in ten...what a shame, well looks can be deceivingbut quickenings still rock...and save lifes @_@

  • Vagrant_Story :) is as well game who is part of the same world as 6 and 12 . Just shame that there is no Ifrit and Shiva ( ye im old tradition person who likes to see Ifrit and Shiva and Cid/Sid in every FF posible )

  • all not,but the big part of them

  • Why all this summons are so Sinisters and Dark??

  • 1:25 Its scares me T_T

  • please say me the name of the music on 6:50 pllsss

  • @metin2firstsvideos I think its called Kiss me goodbye.

  • Bet nobody can tell me who these guys are in final fantasy tactics :D

  • @13lackLight

Belias - Weigraf, Adrammalech - Dycedarg, Zalera - Marquis Elmdore, Hashmal - Vormav, Ultima - Ajora, Cuchulainn/Queklain - the Cardinal, Zodiark/Serpentarius(I think seems the most likely) - Elidibs

As for the other stones no idea the rest are used for Worker 8, Cloud, Malak, etc

  • @MemphisExorcism Sweet! Finally someone did it! I tried this a couple times and nobody answered. I never played this game tho, are the summons related to zodiak stones in this game?

  • @13lackLight

Unfortunately no.. which is a shame considering 12 takes place in Ivalice, however no mention of the Lucavi or Ajora is ever brought up. They could have done so much with this story line.

  • @13lackLight

On a side note Tactics is the 2nd best written Final Fantasy after 6

  • @MemphisExorcism That is unfortunate. I was hoping that this would be the time period they were talking about in FFT where technology was far superior, and is where they managed to get the gun technology from. I just don't see the point of making the story be on Ivalice if there stories won't be connected at all

  • whaha parang ang cool laruin ulit ng ff12

  • Thanks for that, really well done.

  • Someone in Square-enix watched too much transformers

  • WAaa?? Zeromus from ff4??!?!

  • Very nice, I btw adore this game!

  • really love this game, so awesome, thanks for the editor of this video.

  • EPIC espers! ff12 is probabaly the longest ff game I've played hahaha but EPIC :D

  • @epistaxiz haha i loged about 150hrs on my first/only playthrough...beat story/most of the game but still have around 15% left ithink? lol

  • i love these guys belias=hellfire mateus=frostwave addramalech=judgement zaleria=comdemnation chuchulain=blight chaos=metero ultima=escaa something zodiark=last eclipse famfrit=tsunami shemehazi=purge
  • how do get the summons

  • @poporolox Some you get in the storyline, some hidden (literally hidden), some need requirements to unlock.

  • omg! Ultima's ray fell just in New York! º_º

  • great vid,but dont u have the english version?

  • someone tell me the location of all the esper in ff12. got eight already. looking for the rest of the esper.

  • about shemhazai with the moon. E.T. phone home

  • My problem with the espers, in my opinion, were that they were difficult to get but when I used them they died so easilly. At least in the international version you could use their final attacks without the espers almost dying.

  • y do the summons get worse with each game...X>XII>XIII

  • @Zafoshin On 10 they were good they were actually useful. On 12 though, I just use them as a meat shield, well MIst shield. what about 13?

  • @TheArachnoid I was talking about their appearance as well as usefulness. X were cool on both counts, XII lousy on both, just like u said. But in XII, although summoning wasn't that useful, u could still do it on a whim. On XII, however, they really prolong battles, which leads to fucking up ratings, so item dropping and the technical points u earn from each fight minimize. And most of them look like shit...

  • @Zafoshin i thought their appearance is pretty cool. true, its very unusual since theyre based on zodiac, but i think at least chaos, ultima, zalera,n adramelech look cooler than the others.

as for usefulness, its originally intended for tactical purpose, since combat in ff12 requires more tactics than other ffs. whereas previous summons r intended as 1-or-2-hit-kill weapons. i agree that their final execution is somewhat useless, but i also understand the reason behind it.

  • @amazo88 X's summons look way cooler. Also, in X u may use them both as 1 or 2 hit kills and for tactical purposes. Valefor's evasion helps with fights that would be much harder without it.

U could do an ovedrive, charge an overdrive, or defeat opponents with some strategy and normal moves/spells(for example,Ifrit could heal himself with fire spells from early on). Each aeon also has boost and shield, as well as their own unique moves, which make fights more about tactics.

  • @Zafoshin as i said,failed final execution.

  • @Zafoshin Final Fantasy XII's Espers, as, amazo88 has already told you, more about tactics. X had it easy - you could just charge and have your Aeons ready for an Overdrive and fill it up as much as you want to. However, in FF XII it's much more dangerous. Espers do HAVE their own set skills which they use on nearby enemies an you (support buffs) as you run around a map, but to unlock their special Quickenings, some of them involve really drastic measures (such as the requirement for Eschaton).

  • @Essedel Yeah, tactics that need not be utilized. If u just do quickenings instead, ur fine. I have my characters to use for tactics. When I summon, I want all hell to break loose and shit to die XD

  • @Zafoshin Not all enemies could be brought down by Quickenings. What's worse, you have to charge them up too, just like Espers. If you're really lucky to charge up subsequent Mist Charges it's all and good, but it will still leave you open to anything else if you fail. That's why the need for tactics. Would you use the Mist Charges for Quickenings, Magicks, Espers? I rarely use items, and ethers are so rare. This is especially crucial in the early stages of the game and the License Board sucks.

  • @Zafoshin When the License Boards still suck*, since I ran out of space.

  • @Essedel I never had to use an esper, especially in the early game. Either I used a quickening, or tactics with magiks were sufficient. Also, I could take down realy strong enemies, by doing long quickening chains, which isn't that hard and is really addicting.

  • @Zafoshin I never really used Espers either unless I really had too early ingame. Quickenings aren't that hard, but unless I'm going on a suicide run, I wouldn't use them, I reserve them for Magick I have currently for disposal. I wouldn't spam Magick attacks if I didn't have Ethers, or I still haven't unlocked that recharge MP ability in the License Boards. Qucikenings do have Mist Charges, but I don't rely too much on it either. Lower levels at this game is really difficult.

  • @Zafoshin Are this difficult, I mean. That is why the need of real tactics. Quickenings and Magick are alright if you have sufficient enough levels into the game already, if you have already unlocked important Gambits like what I mentioned - the MP charge ability. There are also plenty of monsters to worry about at lower levels which could prove terrifying if you are still underleveled - like those damn Entites.

  • @Essedel See, u didn't even use espers either. Even early in game, u can get enough quickenings to get out of a pinch, that's what I did. The rest of the time, it's about tactics(attacks, a little magiks, etc).

Espers fall in a middle category, a situation hard enough that tactics alone won't help, but not so hard as to use quickenings. This almost never happens.

  • @Zafoshin That is, if you already unlocked enough Quickenings to pass it around your party members. You also seemed to forget that there aren't JUST Quickenings on the License Board - there are Weapons, Armor and Technicks. Sure, you can try using Quickenings throughout battles but what about armor and weapons? Again, lower levels ARE difficult in this game. Quickenings don't even add too much punch at lower levels too. That is why it's suicide if you rely on them too much.

  • @Zafoshin Such tactics you employ probably be good for few enemies, but you also forgot about tougher enemies, and you seem to forget the danger that such lower levels could be for your party. Espers for me were invaluable in the early part of the game as I still didn't have access to high level spells and threw in their own special attacks at the end of it if I got conditions right. Quickenings are alright for chaining. But both of them are dependent on your level. Let's look at it that way.

  • @Zafoshin Quickenings allow you to unleash a barrage of attacks which you could continue chaining. While this seems good, in earlier levels the damage would be a trade off to what happens AFTER the chain. Normal enemies probably bit the dust for now, but then again why would you want to pick on easy prey. Let's say you managed to unleash a barrage of attacks on a monster who is still alive after unleashing Quickenings and a Concurrence. Without the MP charge ability, this is scary.

  • @Zafoshin Espers give you high level spells + free badass (or not) special attack if you managed to get the conditions right. Whereas Quickenings give you non elemental attacks and you don't have to worry about it too much, Espers do give you an advantage if you know your enemies' weaknesses, and they provide those high level spell debuffs if they have them too. Quickenings are all about how you can dish pain after successive chains, but leave you wide open. Espers do too.

  • @Zafoshin Then, there is the issue of the License Board. Quickenings can only be chained up to a Concurrence. So for level 1 Quickenings, this goes pretty fast and is dependent on how many of your party members have already unlocked their 1st level Quickenings to get a more powerful Concurrence (or until the chain ends). Espers do have that problem too with the Board, but they have their innate abilities - both passive and active, and their high level spells, plus their special attacks.

  • @Zafoshin Given the added burden of the License Board, let us go back to the aftermath of a Quickening chain on lower levels. Mist Charges help and ensure you have enough MP to cast Cure, and unless the caster has decent Magick, it will still have to be supported by item usage, and use Ethers. It is also highly dangerous if the enemy was still alive after a Quickening chain, then kills off your major healer, and you have little to no items available. And your party's MP is shot.

  • @Zafoshin Espers do have the same effect, but at least, you only have to worry about the summoner's MP. At least after the Esper is dismissed too, you still have reserves, and you can still continue to fight without getting worried that all the party's MP has been drained. Espers are your allies in the early game stages because of the limitation imposed by what you have currently unlocked on the License Board, and that is saying much.

  • @Essedel Like u said, both espers and quickenings leave u wide open. Quickenings are much stronger, though. And u wouldn't leave a strong enemy alive, if u knew what u were doing. Or rather, if u do quicks well and an enemy stays alive after the chain, he prolly is too strong for ur lvl.

Also, it is quite possible to get quicks early on the board. I know, because I did it and I relied on quicks when in a pinch and was never vulnerable after.

You say, that espers were invaluable to you, but I

  • @Zafoshin Quickenings are dependent on your level. Quickenings stop after a certain chain because of Concurrences. Quickenings are also limited by what you have already unlocked on the License Board - the weapons, armors and Technicks that afford you much better survival odds than just relying too much on them all the time. Quickenings leave your party MP drained. It's easy to get Quickenings for your entire party if you probably ignored all other aspects of the License Board.

  • @Zafoshin If you already are way too overleveled, you wouldn't even need to use Quickenings. I never had to use Quickenings on the end Marks and other end bosses, because I have completed unlocking the entire Gambit system, and because I already unlocked everything on the License Board. Again, the early levels don't give you too much choice - you can only unlock certain stuff with your LP, and choosing how to spend it is part of the tactics as well.

  • @Zafoshin Early in the game, the monsters could also give you only as much LP as you could get, with the harder monsters giving you more, and going on Quickening chains is not exactly a good idea unless you know how much HP a monster has left and successfully finish it off. Now doing this and comparing it with your party's current strength - remember that a Quickening is also just as good as your party member's level, and what they have already unlocked on the License Board - is hard.

  • @Zafoshin Espers in this game weren't meant to be war machines. They ARE powerful though, but in order to draw out their full strength, they rely on your support as much as you also rely on them for support. Quickenings go on chains that rely on your party members' current levels + what they have already unlocked on the License Board. Espers = give you boosted stats, ignore enemy stats/weather, terrain conditions dealing damage, give debuffs, all packed into 90 seconds of summon time.

  • @Zafoshin It does suck that some of them can't exceed 9999 damage, then again as the summoner yourself, you're to give support to your Esper, so the damage increases. And you don't have to be worried of anything - most of the time the enemies target the Esper so you can also concentrate on attacking and supporting respectively. Then, if you already have Siphon, you can also use it to effectively refill your MP like no Ether can. In lower levels, they act as tanker, healer, debuffer.

  • @Zafoshin This is why they're invaluable in the early levels, when you can't survive pretty much on your own by yourself (AGAIN, the License Board issue). And this is the reason why people can spam Zodiark as much as they want just because. In any case, this is one of the reasons why Espers were considered impractical by some players (the constant tactics employed once an Esper is summoned). But just like Quickenings, you can get on without them when you're already way too overleveled.

  • @Essedel You are trying to convince me that in theory you can't effectively rely on quickenings and not espers early on, but I have already done so in practice myself.

  • @Zafoshin You can't rely on them all the time, that is what I was talking about. Given the issues that I have already told you, you don't even seem to answer them, you just say that you can use Quickenings and that is all about it. This may mislead some people who might think that is the best solution too. Quickenings in a pinch are fine, just so you know what your party strengths and weaknesses are, playing by what you have already unlocked on the License Board, and knowing your enemy HP.

  • @Essedel Of course, u can't rely on espers or quickenings all the time. But when u do need one of them, quickenings will do just fine. Hence, espers are worthless(most of the time).

U are right I am bored to get into technical details. I should do that, but I settle for saying that I've done what I claim in practice.

  • @Zafoshin Quickenings OR Espers should do just fine. Quickenings are also worthless when you're already overleveled, just like Espers. Quickenings are OK in lower levels, but disregarding everything that plagues its usefulness, like that of Esper usage, is short of suicide. Espers aren't worthless as you deem so - this misconception probably stems from the fact that you still have to support them, unlike previous summons. This is where tactics really comes to play.

  • @Zafoshin Saying that "Quickenings do just fine = Espers are worthless" is like telling people that they should not use Espers in a battle. Using either of them are situational - you can't say that you can finish them off using Espers OR Quickenings only. Again, this is ignoring what the License Board has to say about it.

  • @Essedel Well, yeah. I'm saying that most of the time, if u know what ur doing with the licence board and with the quickenings, u should not use epsers in battle, but quickenings instead(adapting ur strategy of course for this change).

I'm not disregarding anything, cause I have done it. I'm just not getting into specifics and justifying anything.

  • @Zafoshin And that stems from what conclusion? I use Espers and Quickenings at the same time, and they're both fine. I am not even saying that you use Espers exclusively for ending battles here, but you are outright saying that you should avoid using them and use Quickenings instead because Espers are worthless. Who cares if we both discovered a way to use either effectively in battle. We can't just outright proclaim anything to be the better tactic because there are others as well.

  • @Essedel I do believe epsers can be used so that they are efficient.

I think though, that if 1 put the same or less energy into not using them, he would get better results.

You make me realize though, that the above sentence is an unsubstantiated opinion, intuition and nothing more. That is because I haven't actually used them as efficiently as they can be used, in order to see if it's more or less efficient than not using them.

  • @Essedel So, I know the Quick way is efficient, but how efficient it is compared to the esper+Quick way actually eludes me. I do lean on the Quick way, but only because I am bored to look into it. I am sorry about that, especially seeing how much you've done your homework.

Both ways though, espers are useful sometimes.

I do believe with a tad more confidence, that X>XII>XIII in terms of summons(aesthetically and practically). Subjectively(for me) that's 100% true and maybe for every1.

  • @Zafoshin The design and practicality aspects for each series' summons have their own fans and haters. To say that one series summons are more powerful/practical than the others is subjective at best, and not necessarily for everyone. Diehard fans will always defend their own beloved series summons as much as they would defend any other aspect of the gameplay.

  • @Essedel Yeah, of course.

When I say maybe for every1, I mean that if every1 discussed this matter at length, the objective conclusion is sth no1 knows, but If I had to guess I'd choose what I believe in. Of course, that's y I believe in it.

  • @Zafoshin More likely if it did, fan wars might erupt if things get a little out of hand just as in any kind of fandom. In any case, we could all agree that this series is fun and is among the one of the world's most beloved video game franchises.

  • @Essedel Amen to that!

  • @Essedel think that u just settled for less.

  • I love how the music stops right before ultima's beam hits lol

  • sheesh, it really, i mean REALLY sucks for all those wolves!

very nice thnx so much for putting it up :)

  • man you really dont like wolves

  • good by universe @ 6:49?

  • I always like how Zodiark is shown last, that shows he's the most powerful Summon. But the concept of Summons in FF 12 is different from previous Final Fantasy series..some requirements for the Summons to use their special movies is just plain annoying..like for Ultima to use her special move..means for the character summoning her has to have below 12% of their total HP. Really uncalled for..

  • ...is it just me, or do these summons look like the kind that villains would use to counteract the heroes' more standard summons?

  • epic

  • Is it me, or does Famfrit look like a fat Exdeath?

  • love Ultima:

'Since her fall, her heart is without light, and impossible to know...

  • they sure do take awhile to make their actual attack, but they are amazing! i wish i knew the names of their attacks lol

  • @DmSonic7494 I know zodiark's is called "Final Eclipse" in the english version of the game.

  • @DmSonic7494 ahell fire frost wave judgement meteroid escalation blight final eclipse soul purge death tsunami gaia rage tornado and soul purge
  • Am i the only one who noticed that some of the summons of this game are bosses from other ff ??? Mateus = Mateus Palamecia (The Emperor, ff2), chaos = FF1, Zeromus = ff4, Exodus = Exdeath, FF5, etc

  • zodiark ftw :D

  • please the song's name? in the end *_* nice

  • @EternityAndy The song is Final Fantasy III - Terra's Theme (Vocals).

  • Ultima shot New York City hahah... Everything hates new york...

  • Damn good graphics for the PS2.

  • lol

cuchalaun or what's his name is funny lol

  • I found the version in this video, thank you once more for letting me know the name. Final Fantasy is awesome. Great job on the video, by the way.

  • Thank you for the compliment.

  • @ccp60able You're very welcome.

  • Thank you for your praise .

I will continue to fuel .

  • @ccp60able Awesome.
