  • The Mountain can cut a horse's head almost off but can't cut through a small wooden shield. I love this show but Ser Loras should have died.

  • poor horse

  • I'm actually surprised that Joffrey looked something like worried for Sandor when he went after Gregor.

  • What does the "Little Finger" say to Sansa after the joust? I can't make it out, something about the Flower Knight cheating I think.

  • Dear Peta

    Sincerely, The Mountain.

  • SWORD!

  • Thumbs up if you want to see Sandor fight Robert the Strong in a Dream of Spring!

  • WTF!!! I have rewound and played the part right after he says "and when will you be seeing your man" and I can't hear WTF he whispers god damnit. It's really pissing me off I just hear the girl say "sir oris would never do that blah blah trickery". Does anyone have a subtitle version or actually knows what he says. I feel like its important to the story.

  • @travincal1 he says the horse loras was riding was in heat. he rode a mare instead of a stallion, and since the mare was in heat it distracted the stallion and thats how he won

  • @jaydubstud14 uhuh I thought so. It's just that I live on a thoroughbred farm and have been breading horses for years as a pinhooker and that is not accurate at all. I suppose its possible but very unlikely unless the horse is super green and I doubt he would even be able to ride him if she were that green.

  • Sandor Clegane is pretty much the only "King's Landing" character I have any positive feelings towards.

I mean sure, he's gruff, he doesn't do much and he's basically the lapdog (pardon the pun) of a pretty despicable character.

But he's the only one from that region that hasn't managed to tick me off in terms of his words or actions.

  • Madness? This! Is! Westeros!

  • Thats the hound alright the actor ghives credit to the books

  • YARP. :D

  • @squamish4244

hmm yeah... I still expect Sandor to come back and (try to) vanquish "Ser Robert Strong"

  • Comment removed

  • I hope that in the 7th book (if GRRM lives that long) there is an epic duel between the 2 brothers - the 4th and 5th books put them both in very interesting positions :)

  • This is probablyt one of my favorite scene in the whole series. Fucking EVERYONE is terrified of the Mountain Who Rides. At at 7'1", who wouldn't be? Gragor's little brother, that's who. Sandor has all the reason in the world to be frightened of the man who viciously scared him for life, but here, he shows everybody who's anybody that he doesn't give a shit how big his brother is. Hes ready to take him on any goddamn day of the week.

  • @Cerberusballs I think he is scared, but his hatred of him outweighs that.

  • You ready hound? Yarp....

  • This show is so meh, how the fuck can you make sandors burn o nthe right side when it more then once stated he is burned on the left side?

  • @LCHC1 Is that really your most fathomable refute against the show?

  • @SurfaceCollison No I have major other issues with the whow, I mean it is good but never like the books, but thats just me

  • @LCHC1 There were issues with the prosthetic, I heard. He wasn't able to see out of certain ones, making fight scenes difficult/dangerous to do. Me, I'm of the opinion that if GRRM is at least moderately involved with the show (which he is; I believe he even directed one of the episodes, though I may be wrong) then if the show's good enough or GRRM, who am I to complain?

  • Lol I love how the show doesn't even mention they are brothers

  • @BlueRazor69 Littlefinger mentions that.

  • @BlueRazor69 Um. hate to break it to you, but it actually makes a very solid statement that the hound and the mountain are infact brothers, in the scene where little finger tells the daughter of ed stark (I forgot her name) the story of the mountain and the hound. Sick facts bro

  • @MrThatsjustsad Haven't gotten this far in the show yet. This scene should have mentioned it I figure if it was going to be anywhere.

And her name is Sansa, sick facts bro..

  • LOL. Everyone was so happy they didn't have to try and stop the Mountain.

  • all the good parts are in the third book/season.

  • epic bow dodge 1:53

  • Quotes:

Littlefinger: And tell me, Lord Renly, when will you be having your friend?

Robert: STOP THIS MADNESS IN THE NAME OF YOUR KING!

    The Mountain: SWORD!

  • Who would win in a fight? The Hound or the Mountain?

  • @squamish4244

    The Hound

  • @belfasterd There's some obsessive dude on one of these videos who keeps insisting the Mountain is the best warrior in Westeros.

  • @squamish4244

    Well he's wrong

  • @squamish4244

Depends on what point in the series they are at. Since later on in the books Gregor becomes... how do I say this? QUITE powerful

  • @austinthebookworm5

What happened to Sandor? I thought he was killed? (I don't really want to read on/reread, I get so depressed by them)

  • robert: STOP THIS MADNESS IN THE NAME OF YOUR KING!!!!

    the mountain: madness.....THIS IS WESTEROS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • lol, the mountain was the original rager when he doesnt take losing badly...

  • Ser Loras's helmet is cool tbf :)

  • Ahahahah ... ROFL man...

I LOVE how he threw him off,

from the Horse to the ground, With 1 Single Sword Hit... He is The MAN =)

  • damn....that guy really IS a mountain. "Let him go" HA! I would've already had my ass out of the way. "WAY ahead of ya there, King!"

  • Comment removed

  • The hound is the best!

  • Ahaa, Gay joke made by Littlefinger.

  • Gregor's swing missing Sandor because Sandor is kneeling to King Robert is genius.

  • do you know where the heart is?

  • Not gonna give any spoilers, but there is another good scrum next season. Red Viper vs. The Mountain.

  • @SemperBeer oberin martel vs the mountain is in the third book almost at the end so we cant see it anytime soon.

  • @lampard0081 Wouldent worry about that, in the second book Tyrion gets more time, and this is pretty much all that matters :)

  • @TheTrueHaddock

    Right

  • @TheTrueHaddock

    Deal with it boiiiii

  • Sandor totally got Sansa wet

  • If only Vinnie Jones were bigger, he would have made a great Gregor.

  • SWORD!!!

  • i like sandor clegane. he seems like an honorable and chivalrous knight in this scene

  • @halorulesyourface Except Sandor isn't a knight although his brother Gregor certainly was knighted

  • HORSE ABUSE !

  • @MiracleeCream No animals were harmed in the making of this film.

Seriously. Well, unless if you count the actors eating food.

  • @fl333r Actually, Tywin Lannister was skinning a real Elk in one of the episodes.

  • @MiracleeCream ser Loras would never..... wait forget about it

  • Poor Sandor looks so awkward. He's like 'uh... okay. ._.'

  • there's a tiny ass member of the Kingsguard there on the right at 2:01

  • @Danny2113182 tiny? sandor is 7,1...like 2,16 cm

he`s a fkin giant...and so is the hound

  • @ionuttheb look at the ppl next to the kingsguard on the right hes small, maybe its ser arys

  • The way the Limier get to hes kneel when the KING was talking made him actualy just even more badASS!

  • There were many hints to Loras and Renly being gay. I for one overlooked them myself until I went back and realized how big a clue GRRM gave us.

  • They are Hungarians!! I am proud for my country

  • Gregor a seriously unhinged bastard. And in this series, that's saying something.

  • The mountain is my favorite character, in all of the books.

  • So is that a claymore vs. a greatsword?

  • @bomblast2000

I hate how they made Loras Tyrell and Renly gay in the show, it never mentioned that in the books. In fact, Renly was supposed to get with Margary Tyrell.

  • @brentahyde

Renly was extremely gay, they just didn't play it up.

'Rainbow Guard.' Should have been a big hint.

  • @brentahyde

You clearly didn't even read Clash of Kings then. The author made it subtle ... for a three year old maybe. Stannis and Renley's talk before the battle its what Stannis uses as ammo for their wordplay. The boar got Robert and I got Margaery. You’ll be pleased to know she came to me a maid.”

“In your bed she’s like to die that way.” Renley after Catelyn says he should be praying “Loras, stay and help me pray. It’s been so long I’ve quite forgotten how.

  • @brentahyde Renly is obviously gay, but what pissed me off: the whole chest shaving and cock sucking scene... WTF ???

  • @PepeHorne agreed. I am sure that they're gay, in the books it's more than hinted. But that scene was almost vulgar.. I mean Loras, a really gifted and brave knight, shaving Renly.. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I think that gay people can't be brave or anything. It's just that that scene got the wrong message across.

  • @brooke9132 Exactly... they turned Loras from homosexual to a faggot... everyone, you're not homophobes if you say it that you're pissed the way Loras' and Renly's relationship is portrayed in a TV show, ruined whole episode.

  • @PepeHorne I'm not pissed, it got the idea into the head of the audiences without any subtle hints, What is this idea of "turned from homosexual to a faggot" business? This is the first time I have ever heard of such term. And whats the difference between the sex scene with other members of the series compared to Renly's and Loras'?

  • @romanlegions that's the whole point: oh, don't give the audience hints, give them digest version, don't let them turn their brain for a second, typically american showmaking stereotype, that the viewers are that stupid. And by not understanding what ment by making a difference between ''homosexual and faggot'', all i can say is:,, change your YT account nickname. ;-))))

  • @PepeHorne Are you trying to say my account name is a "faggot"?

  • Comment removed

  • @brooke9132

How was that scene vulgar? You didn't even see his SHOCK HORROR.... PENIS?!!!

  • @brentahyde it was actually hinted at quite often in the books. During the feast Lady Caitlin attends while trying to strike a deal with Renly, he tends to offer Loras much more attention than he does to his own, beautiful wife. There are many more subtle hints, but I can't recall them right now. Read the second book again, and you will see ;)

  • @brentahyde

Surely the bit where Renly told Loras to stay up and 'pray' with him all night was a bit of a clue?

  • @brentahyde It was said him and Loras spent a lot of time together "praying" in secret. You just have to be able to pick up on the subtle hints GRRM through in the books about it. But they were gay alright.

  • @brentahyde renly was/is extremely gay in the books. The marriage with margary tyrell was completely politcal.

  • @billthecanuck He was? When did they mention that? I've started Storm of Swords, so don't give anything away, please. But unless there is something I missed, we aren't going to find out new info on him after Book 2. I assume.

  • @eirefrance they didn't come out and say it as blatantly as the tv series. It was just hinted at especially with the "rainbow" guard and a few comments that various characters say.

  • @brentahyde It was hinted in the books several times (i wont post spoilers) but do a re-read and you will see. Plus Renly would hardly be the first gay monarch to marry for a beard. Look at Edward I

  • @brentahyde dude it was obvious from the start

  • @brentahyde Rainbows are straighter than Loras, dude. There's a good reason why he conveniently takes the white (thus vowing never to marry) after poor Renly dies.

  • @Idonthaveanamelol fuck you

  • @brentahyde

Yeah, like if anyone married BY LOVE in Game of Thrones. Even Sansa Stark can understand plenty of people marry for political reasons in a feudal setting.

Plus, the author of the books, R.R. Martin took part DIRECTLY in the translation of book to tv series. If the caracthers are gay in the series, is because RRMartin approved it.

There are several hints in the books they are gay.

  • @brentahyde "SPOILER" Renly's marriage with Margary was just for the show, why do you think she was still a maiden. And you may recall Jaime saying to Loras "Put that sword away or I'll shove it up places even Renly never found." Loras was infuriated at Renly's death and in fact he joined the Kingsguard so his father would never make him marry.

  • The Golem vs The Gravedigger

  • You've never seen sibling rivalry until you draw the line at beheading horses.

  • 0:38 hahaha BURN!

  • Fun fact: The actor who plays Gregor Clegane is a Mensa member.

  • gregor is at least a foot too short

  • @Aggellos703 Do you know how hard it would be to find an actor who stands 8 feet tall? :P

  • @nervouswreck75 They were pretty lucky to get Conan Stevens, whose one of the few actors over 7 feet.

  • "LET HIM GO"... no shit who was going to stop him?!

  • Ha ha! It's funny because Renly and Loras are gay for each other!

  • you can tell that the hound is about to merc the mountain

  • the hound is probably the best fighter/swordsman in westersos

  • LOL deal w/it!!

  • "I owe you my life, ser."

    "Yarp?"

  • HAHA I love Renly's laugh at 0:22

  • @AnimeGraphiti: I KNOW RIGHT? Lord Renly has the best laugh!

  • that mountain killed a baby with his bare hands in the book..bastard!

  • @KeithWasHere1 and then proceeded to rape the baby's mother . Truly a piece of work the Mountain

  • @Rhadamantys2011 lol he later gets used as guinea pig for dark magic and i believe medical experimentation...a fitting end in my opinion.

  • @KeithWasHere1 but if Robert Strong is the Mountain , which seems the case , who was the skull they sent to Dorne??

  • @Rhadamantys2011 I thought Ser Gregor Clegane was the mountain? Sandor Clegane, nicknamed "The Hound," is the younger brother.at least that's the way i read it and Wikipedia states it. I have to read up on who they took to dorne..cause after the mountain disappears, the biggest man thought in Westeros, all of a sudden this unknown night who never lets his face be shown and who is said to be Cersi's champion and is 8 foot tall comes into play..who i think is Ser Robert Strong.

  • Respond to this video... as copied from wikipedia.

    Gregor Clegane /ɡrəˈɡɔr klɨˈɡeɪn/ Conan Stevens 1 2

Ser Gregor Clegane is a huge knight and the elder brother of Sandor Clegane. Called "The Mountain That Rides", he is known for his incredibly cruel nature and uncontrollable temper.

  • Respond to this video... Cersei Lannister to allow him to experiment on the dying Gregor Clegane. He later gained favor with her by using his knowledge to torture her prisoners. Cersei eventually appointed him her Master of Whisperers to replace Varys after his disappearance. Qyburn is rumoured to dabble in Necromancy and while under Cersei's rule, he set about making Cersei an unbeatable Champion who Qyburn has dubbed "Ser Robert Strong".

  • @Rhadamantys2011

Cersei had men looking for Tyrion, and a bunch of them came to the red keep with a head of a dwarf they thought was Tyrion. It wasn't him but some innocent dwarf they butcherd, still Cersei wanted to have the head. As dwarf heads are usualy bigger then the average head of a normal man, I think she sent the skull of the dwarf to Dorne claiming it was the Mountain's head.

  • @celebrain I guess it's up to CSI Westeros to find out what really happened there XD

  • @Rhadamantys2011 Really badass nickname though... "The Mountain That Rides"

  • 0:54 take your hand off of my daughter

  • I feel bad for these guys' mother. Labor must've been a nightmare.

  • @mst3KGf: Oh, no worries. I hear her name was Xena. =D

  • The Hound is the only character that could've whooped Drogo in a fight...

  • Sandor Clegane's dodge-to-kneel: EPIC.

  • 1:13

    What a Rage Quit!

Also@ that guy NO WAY IN HELL is Loras Tyrell stronger than the mountain. Tyrell has only been in a handful of battles, mostly just unhorsing other men in tourneys while The Mountain is known as the scourge of the Seven Kingdoms for the slaughter of knights and commoners alike. Read the books, the TV series makes him look like a dumb brute while Gregor is actually just fking evil as hell.

Few men could fight with him. Perhaps Jamie(as he is now) or Oberyn Martell(lol)

  • @veldross1 Agreed. I also think the series made a mistake having Renly tell Sansa about Gregor burning Sandor's face. I realize they have to edit for time, but that is such a compelling scene in the book and it sets the tone for the near intimacy that exists between the Hound and the Little Bird, and even later with Arya.

  • @angerdux8 That was littlefinger not renly

  • @t6253 Yes--sorry. Littlefinger the grand schemer.

  • @veldross1 Loras Tyrell isn't stronger than him. Loras' mare was in heat, and he knew that, which distracted Gregor's stallion, which made it harder for Gregor to ride.

  • @RadiumFusion I think Ser Gregor was more pissed because of the fact of Loras using tricks than because of losing. Still he really needs to learn how to count to 10 before acting . If he'd killed Loras he would have been called to answer to the Tyrells of Highgarden , one of the most powerful families in the realm . Tywin Lannister wouldn't go to war for him so he'd be on his own

  • I love how they had the detail of him taking one knee to Robert as he avoided the last swing by the Mountain, just like in the book.

  • renly looks nothing like he should in the books

  • SWORD!!!

  • Yaaaaaaaarp.

  • I think if anyone could actually be said to be stronger then the mountain it would be king robert. he's a bad man with his war hammer and nearly unstoppable.

  • 1:54 made the Hound the most badass character in the show.

  • Man I can't wait for the Mountain vs the Viper.

  • the Hound is a complex and pretty cool dude, the mountain is just a dick

  • "Deal w/it"

    LMAO!!!

  • I love how he just dodged that last blow by kneeling down to the king...

  • @reuber1 It's the opposite way for Kane and Undertaker.

  • @reuber1 I know that Sandor is younger than Gregor, and that is why he is a little bit shorter and smaller than his older brother Gregor. On the other hand Kane is younger than Undertaker, but he is the bigger and taller one.

  • @reuber1 Except that it's opposite. Kane is younger than Undertaker, but he is the bigger and taller one.

  • @EtherealKnight89 Sandor is younger than Gregor.

  • This is totally Kane vs. The Undertaker. No, seriously.

  • @reuber1

Given their status after the latest book that statement is more true than you know.

  • @TheTrueHaddock Sandor Clegane is one of the best, complex, and human characters in fantasy fiction, although I think Martin has elevated the genre. I love this scene--it is almost blow by blow what is written in the book. I can watch this forever. But...I haven't been happy with the series these last two books, including the latest. What is your take on the direction Martin is going in? It seems like he is leading us in a certain direction and...bam!

  • @TheTrueHaddock Oh my god, you're not kidding. I feel stupid for not noticing that.

  • @TheTrueHaddock True that.

  • @TheTrueHaddock come on, Spoilers!

  • @reuber1 YOU WILL FEEL THE FULL FORCE OF MY DESTRUCITY, SER LORAS! SKRONK!!!

  • Guy in the background at 2:18 is the best part

  • Selmy's expression is great. He's like: "look at those two idiots."

  • Woof woof woof!

  • When I imagines this scene I NEVER thought they'd show the horse's head cut off... I love HBO... it was so random :D

  • 2:00 - Let him go...!? Who was actually going to try and stop him! "Don't get hit by the 18-wheeler!" Yeah, good advice.

  • @BrooklynJackBlue That was Sandor telling Gregor to let Loras go, but obviously 18-wheelers don't listen very well

  • @TheBostonRage Naw, when Gregor was stalking away and Robert tells his gold cloaks to let him go. You have to feel that those guards couldn't have been more grateful at any point in their lives when he gave 'em that order.

  • @BrooklynJackBlue oh damn my bad dude

  • 01:53 was my favorite part

  • I like how Robert doesn't immediately tell them to stop. Him, like the rest of us, were intrigued by the brothers throwing down.

  • The reason Loras beat Gregor is because Loras' horse was in heat and that screwed up Gregorr's horse.
