  • @RebornPWNSHOPP you must be training wrong. i've trained people at 14 and they have already hit 225.

    lower the weight slow and push up as fast as you can with good form.

    keep your reps low .. when you'e got to your max weight then start ading more and do some negatives with a partner

  • @Screamersmusic what do you mean by negatives? I've gotten to 210 now so what do you think would be a good workout to do? Also the problem is my bench is at home and I never have anyone to spot me thus making it near impossible to rep to failure on anything.

  • @RebornPWNSHOPP in that case it will make it a little harder, try using chains and doing part reps, thats the only advice i could really give its hard without a partner or spotter, be sure to train incline and decline and front delts also!!!

  • @bigbadankit To be honest, you'd be better of with some chalk; it dries your hands up and locks your grip in like concrete. As far as wrist support is concerned, you'd be better served with some quality wrist wraps instead of straps IMO.

  • @WooDRaTs00 i used to get 225 for 5 sometimes and then 3 the next week. it felt so heavy.. now i have a 15 count. Hang in there.

  • You just have to get a weight you can handle for 12-15 reps and do that weight for one month and then go up 5LBs I can 225 for 20 reps and thats what worked for me. You can do it but don't focus on just the bench train everything

    What a professor told me the more weight you do, whe bigger the muscle will grow, and the more reps you do, the muscle will turn harder..., are two differnt ways of exercising. It also depends if you are training for a sport, and it depends on you position too...
