I don't really get how people can't see Sekai was the biggest victim. Kotonoha wouldn't have gone hurt if she confronted Makoto about what happened in episode 6,8 and 9 of the anime. Makoto decided everything of his and he is the biggest fault. Sekai is the only victim I can think of in the main triangle
I don't think people understand the reason behind Sekai's kiss. I see it as a goodbye kiss. I think she honestly was ready to let go of her feelings and help Makoto and Kotonoha out in their relationship, however being a friend, they kept running to her about their relationship problems. I'm sure she didn't want to hear it, I'm sure it hurt her a lot...and soon she could not contain herself anymore. She felt horrible about it. In the end I feel like Makoto got what was coming to him. BTW, don't you know that Katsura, Saionji, and Itou are the names of the past Prime Ministers in Japan? My friend who studies Japanese history said that Itou was once a prime minister in Japan which is then succeeded by Katsura, then after him is Saionji. Katsura and Saionji because of political powers, changed their positions from time to time. The three of them are males, though. Hehe, speaking of competition between the two prime ministers, in School Days, we witnessed a similar battle.

For me, it is unfair to judge who is the one at fault here. One reason is because we view the story from a
"limited omniscient" point of view - we know nothing about what the charactes are thinking. We just viewed the story through their actions. Therefore, of course, there is big difference if I myself would be in such a situation. Second, realistic as it is, love sure is powerful. What I just find unrealistic here is that everyone falls for Makoto. Well he really used to be kind... ^_^

the main character, the guy, made a fricken bad fork on his "game". i'll be guessing about .000001% chance to get this problem in real life cuz a) no one is dumb enough to get two girls, b) having one girl is easier since it only makes a perfect couple and c) personal mix is not evaluated, they were not meant to be together.

BTW, don't you know that Katsura, Saionji, and Itou are the names of the past Prime Ministers in Japan? My friend who studies Japanese history said that Itou was once a prime minister in Japan which is then succeeded by Katsura, then after him is Saionji. Katsura and Saionji because of political powers, changed their positions from time to time. The three of them are males, though. Hehe, speaking of competition between the two prime ministers, in School Days, we witnessed a similar battle.

For me, it is unfair to judge who is the one at fault here. One reason is because we view the story from a
"limited omniscient" point of view - we know nothing about what the charactes are thinking. We just viewed the story through their actions. Therefore, of course, there is big difference if I myself would be in such a situation. Second, realistic as it is, love sure is powerful. What I just find unrealistic here is that everyone falls for Makoto. Well he really used to be kind... ^_^

In the original game, compared with anime...
1. Makoto is not so despicable. He is essentially a good man. He even protects Kotonoha from bullying.
2.Sekai is a little more selfish. Especially in Summer Days, She betrays her closest friend Setsuna, too.
3. Kotonoha is a little less yandere. But she made an attempt on Otome's life with a fruit knife... :D
I love all characters in School Days. Makoto's perversion, Sekai's selfishness, Kotonoha's yandereness...they are full of humanities!

The main reason this show was interesting for me was that I just moved up to high school and a lot of stuff in this anime was occuring in my daily school life, like teenage pregnancy,people having 4-5 girlfriends, etc.
