I took singing lessons a few years ago. One day the (female) teacher asked me to take of my shirt so that she could watch my breathing. Then she moved around me and put her arms around me:)
Thanks for the videos! I've been saving them to my favs. Just a suggestion. It would help a lot if you would include the lesson number in the video title. Keep up the good work! Really appreciate the sharing of knowledge.
moisten your lips you dont want them dry or sticky so u might have to lick them constantly but just put your lips together lightly apply just enough pressure to keep them together and breathe out air. i hope this helped!
Thanks for the lessons! they help out a lot! There's so many vocal lessons out there and on youtube here, but so far I've found that your lessons are the most help ones and very simply to understand. I'm glad you have this out because I know of some who knows a lot of techniques, but don't really want to share unless you pay. So I really appreciate this! Thanks for sharing!!!
thanks alot guys! i just joined my first band as a vocalist and the vocal lessons definatly help! I also use your guitar classes to play rythem when i sing so keep it up thanks alot!
I enjoy this. Thanks, brudda. I'm actually in search of an instructor in Chicagoland. I once took lessons before and these are all good refreshers. Dig.
Great lesson, really cool. The lip roll reminds me of Kelly Clarkson, 'cause I've seen her doing that to warm-up and we all know the powerhouse vocals she's got.
Thanks for the lesson bro! I have to admire your courage to do this as it can be quite an embarrassing thing to do even by oneself. People like yourself make it less traumatic that's for sure :-)
I really appreciate all of your lessons, guitar and especially these vocal ones. Will keep checking in. Did enjoy it yes, thanks again!
There's alot more! Do that with your tongue also, pronouce a Sssss and Zzzzz projecting the sound around the nose, sing the scale with a very sleepy voice, projecting the sound to the back of your neck, it's like, minimum 15-20 min to warm up!
I thought it was good, but it would be nice to have an explanation as to why the "lip roll" as opposed to just singing the scale. That part left me wondering.
tim , good job on the videos , i started trying stuff like muddy waters and blues songs when i started singing .
cause the guitar stops for a minute , then he sings, then he plays again. i found it easier to start on songs like this . where you dont have to play and sing at same time.
Thank you, this is just what I am looking for. Im learning to play guitar and I am already a pretty good singer in my opinion, but im really looking to become better and increase my range. Im really looking forward to your next lessons. Thanks again!
great job with this, i like it, i've done it a few times. also theres a great other method. very simple. u breathe in and breathe out with a hiss sound VERY SLOWLY until u run out of air. it helps with breathing. also in this u should talk about breathing from ur diaphragm
How weird...I learned to play a song and my guitar teacher then told me to "learn the words and sing it" for the next lesson....I log on this morning and there's your singing lesson....
