nice truck, hey i had a question i have an 09 frontier and the transmission sucks donkey dick, i mean, when it hits 4th and 5th gear it boggs out so bad. can i change some settings with hypertech? let me know if your truck runs better in that aspect. thanks.
@shadowsofthenight83 The hypertech does not allow for any changes to the transmission, neither does the superchips. I think it must be on a different computer in the truck. These trucks just have no top end speed. Its like they tried to gear them for good gas mileage, but they still only get about 16 mpg.
u dont need that shit all u gotta do is run your truck on premium gas an use royal purple oil and swap the stock intake and use the K&N....search my video-> 0 to 90 in my 07 Frontier
Thanks for posting your results. I used to own a '95 Z28 with the 6 speed and power programmed it using Hypertech. It was a noticeable improvement, especially on the top end. I now own a '09 Frontier with the VQ 40 and have thought about buying a Hypertech for it. Have you seen an increase in your mpg?
My mpg's have not really changed, however I do get on it a lot more now. So maybe it would go up a little if you can contain yourself. BTW I have a '95 Firehawk 6-speed, I don't guess you still have the programmer do you?
That's bad ass what exhaust do u have. I've got the same truck. Mine is a 6 speed manual.

It takes a couple more miles for the chip to kick in. You gotta run some more to get the full effect. I.E. you're engine needs to get use to it.
